by popular email demand, here is all the info you need (unless i forgot something) for the Duel ladder.
if you recieved a link to this in an email from an admin, you need to read the information, and go to your duel match comms, and look at what you need to accept
To join the Duel ladder, 1st you must register with TWL, log in, and under your name in top left, go to "Home", click "Join a player ladder" and click on MW4 Duel.
For the duel ladder, Rules can be found under rules-Mechwarrior4, Mercs Duel.
The current rankings can also be found under Competition- MW4, Mercs Duel
Match comms are under home- at the bottom under player competition status, and under "Admin". hit post match communication to enter a message to the other player. any changes can only be made here.
Now, we want to keep the ladder active, so please, respond to all challenges, pick dates, etc, within the 48 hour timeframe.if you need more time for it just post something in match comms so the other player knows that you are there. failure to do this might result in a forfeight, and its just not good to leave the other player waiting that long without knowing if your going to show up or not.
Like all ladders, dedicated servers are highly reccommended if avaliable, but if neither player can get one, then the defender gets to use his, although i hope both players would agree to use whichever is the fastest speed. and with only 2 people, it shouldn't be that big a problem.
Try to be on time! Theres nothing more annoying than a 15 minute game taking over an hour. so please, please please, make sure all of you have server set up atleast 15 mins before game time, that way it allows time for any sudden adjustments to be made, and the game being less stressfull for everybody. Server info should be posted in match comms as usual.
if you don't show up for the match, try to tell the other person ahead of time. if you aren't there after 30 minutes, then the other player isn't expected to wait for you. i hope most of you would then ask where the player was and get the match reschedualed (whoever did show gets priority over new match date and time)
Score reporting, please post it as the actual score as in 4312-3633, not 1-0 or 0-1
