THESE REGISTRY PATCHES WERE CREATED BY BLACKVIPER AT BlackViper.com

Alot of people seem to be having trouble with services during match play. I am going to try and help eliminate some of those problems.

These registry patches apply to the Windows Services which can be accessed by typing services.msc in the Run box in the Start Menu.

WARNING: These are registry files and can create problems or conflicts. First download these Default registry files in case something screws up. A reboot is required after the registry file is introduced for it to take affect.

This is BlackViper's Safe Configuration, try this first.

The BlackViper Gaming Configuration closes more services and is when things might not work correctly. Use this configuration with caution.

Note: Both the Safe Configuration and Gaming Configuration disable the Cryptographic Service which must be set to Automatic. Cryptographic Services is used for the Windows Logo system and Windows Update. Both will not work unless this service is running.

Look at this post made by Tripped as well.

You know the ones. the little icons you have in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. The anti virus, the realplayer, the quicktime, the weatherbug and some things you didnt even know you had running.

Just a warning make sure these are turned off or removed before going into a match. some of the auto update ones or ones that get news or weather or other "updates" not only might be spyware but have been the main cause of people saying reverend is lagging them. So please people close those down and even ctl alt del and go to task manager and processes and make sure things like realevent.exe or quicktime or any other are shut down.

here is a nice link on what each programs running in the background and how to stop or remove them.

or here is another good one

Please though if you do close a process make sure you know what it does before you do so.
