Anyone know why it would be doing this?
I googled this error message and come to find out, apparently, T:V is NOT compatible with 64-bit operating systems. Wow, that's great to know

Anyone else want 20 dollars? I mean I just wasted it on a game that doesn't work because my system is too up-to-date and the game, well, isn't.
I lied. I found the solution:

"
take for instance tribes vengeance. .... i was told that it will nto run on vista 64 bit. and so i tried to install it. and it said that it was missing the entry. tvm file and would nto load. so unfortunately it seemed that these people were right and it would not run. but fortunately i dont give up that easily. and i happened to have copies of the game on disc already installed. so i took the disc and opened it and found where the tvm file was and why was it not there in vista 64 bit. the reason was it was in the maps folder for the game and for some reason during the instal vista 64 bit didnt install the entire maps folder. so there were no maps either. all i did to fix that issue was took the maps folder off the disc and installed it into my bad install in 64 bit vista and it then loaded with no trouble. once it was loaded. i noticed it was crashing. so i went into the disc i had again and found that half of the havok data folder was missing as well. so i took that whole folder off of my disc and deleted the defective one and copied and pasted the good one into the program folder and now the game works flawlessly. this is one example of how ppl give up and think something will not work. so far as i have explained this i have had issues with many games that are made for xp that were biult before vista was even thought of. i can say that without question i havent had one game that i havent gotten installed and running as good if not better then when it was installed in xp."

Google is amazing. If any of you have a 64-bit OS and Vengeance won't run, do the above.
Mmmkay. I need some help. I need someone to message me on AIM so I can talk to them about where in the hell the map files should be going into my game installation directory. I have no way of knowing because I downloaded the game, I don't have a CD so I can't explore it to see the directories.

My AIM SN = AnarchyAo

Any help would be appreciated.

try revengence if you're still having problems.. I just loaded it on vista ultimate 64 and had no problems outside of waiting around for a few months before i could find my box/copy of t:v to pull the serial from.
Also, if you're really desperate to fly around and shoot something, the t:v demo also worked fine for me.
