i've seen all the old 5150/c22 demos.

tbh none of them are even remotely impressive.

my theory is everyone sucked in comparison, but they still sucked. thats the only way i can justify seeing such garbage win consecutively.

just watch one of their demos.

however, they were pretty good for the amount of time they played the game. Good teamwork and such. they just aren't this amazing team that everyone makes them out to be.

I was watching the demo of him on FORT against 5150, and he didn't do a single constructive thing to help the team for atleast 8 minutes. He's a TERRIBLE heavy offense, and even worse LO. About 4 or 5 minutes in he has a chance to chain out their capper who's at 30% health. He fails miserably, and ends up getting owned and the capper just falls onto the flag and caps it as the capper kills him. I mean, it's just horrendous. The entire demo is so fucking terrible I had to quit 11 minutes in, because I just couldn't bear to watch it anymore.


Shitty HO routes, No aim, zero awareness. you show me a demo that reflects skill and I'll change my mind. But I'd be happy to watch the demo with you so we can discuss how shitty it is.

Watching old players demos and critiquing their gameplay this late in the life of the game....priceless.

It's quite clear that you need the community to stroke your ego and tell you how good you are blitz.

Blitz was the best player in T:V history, bar-none. Will that stop the endless tirade of nonsense? I doubt it but it's worth a shot

there is a demo of dm and i playing defense together on fort. he had his echelon tag on and i had my black chapter tag on. just throwing that out there.

I wasn't all that impressed with that demo. Although I didn't watch the whole thing because I got bored. Not to say that I'm better then him because I'm not.

But 50 MAs is impressive in such a long match? I didn't pay attention when it started but is it safe to say half hour?

Most of the people he MAed weren't paying attention to him so they weren't dodging at all.

But he did do a great job protecting his capper and did what he could to defend his base.

also, no degrapple and 15 graps. This demo made the problems with that really obvious. Ima agree with whoever said that you all suck. I didn't see anything amazing.

You all suck and those of us that aren't as good as you suck even more. I've seen better in T2 and T1 and that's sad because TV is supposed to be the easiest.

edit:and i've never said this before but, who are all of you? I didn't hear about any of you when I played T2. Granted I played arena and never competed because of a shitty 56k connection and pos comp.

I can't beleive anyone would vouch for this guy on a competitive level. he fucking dueled heavies and spawn who basically ignored him all match. 80% of his MA's were splash damage MA's and he lost his teams flag 5 times by not paying attention, because he was busy going for mid airs rather than protecting the carrier or grabbing his flag.

I do find it kind of ironic that the same guy who defends his social life on TW by saying he drinks and smokes is in the film room critiquing matches that occurred years ago.

any demo vs 5150 is gonna be pretty shaky at best, because well, its vs 5150. good luck being productive there. and envys job on spiridian was pretty much solely to stop their heavies from raping our base while we got theirs down, which went pretty damn well.
if he didn't have routes, then i'd prob just chalk that up to not caring enough to practice, cause i had ho route demos up on the 22 ftp for a lot of the maps we played. we shifted him around a lot between ld, ho, lo, and even podding as i recall

he probably could have done better, but hes envy, he didn't need 100% to get by with the exception of 5150. as anyone who knew him in t2 would know, he was versatile and could excel at anything. easily, easily one of the best players to pick up that game. i'm sure he dominated the shit out of any other team in T:V we played.

i never had the pleasure of playing with envy and company. i did play with slut and dk a few times and they really do up your game as will eso and doubt. the problem is that you're judging on individual skill and not team play value. get a grip blitz, you would've never beat legacy if you didn't have me, fandam (rip), and myst backing up the defense and prodigy and abu running routes.

Julius, are you planning to play legions if it is good?

i have no idea i haven't looked into it at all. are there any downsides to running it on the browser?

currently there isnt any dedicated server support. But its not into the beta yet, and they have recently said that there will be dedicated server support eventually.

it was like 35 not 50. envy had excellent aim no doubt, but ills ho completely blew on that map. they were WALKING along the border ffs, and when they were running a normal ho route they were slow as fuck...no wonder they were in spawn for most of the time. other times they were STANDING there in heavy spamming like noobs. it was beyond laughable. i dont know what they were thinking, i remember ills ho were pretty good, maybe doubt can fill us in. also, most of his ma were the cheesy kind the other person is like 11 inches of the ground and you shoot the ground. then again, he did get a good number of mas on shield pack heavies so it probably evens out.

and blitz take this as a rare piece of friendly advice, not just for this game but every team based game in general: teams whose players play cowboy don't win matches. in a team based game everyone has a role to do. its not about having the greatest aim, awareness, etc..its about being the best at your particular role. granted there are a few Michael jordans but they are the exception not the norm. that said, being able to adjust when NEEDED is invaluable.

naw, the browser doesn't cause any problems at all. You can also run it full-screen anyways (which I'm sure everyone will do). The browser is just going to be the platform, and wont really have much to do with the actual game.
