Now Available at Direct2Drive

Direct2Drive, an online retailer that specializes in selling games in a downloadable format, announced today that they have begun selling Tribes: Vengeance. Priced at $29.95 US, Direct2Drive is an affordable alternative for many overseas players who would otherwise have to turn to the prohibitively expensive import market if they wanted to get their hands on the game. While this probably won’t have an enormous impact on the game’s sales, it does act as a bit of free marketing and helps open up an overseas customer base. Feel free to check out T:V on Direct2Drive here.

notice how the savings that a company supposedly makes by e-commerce do not seem to be transmitted to the players in any way shape or form.
Yeah, I can see this really taking off.
