What about arena

i've heard all this hype about CTF and other games similar to TR2 (which i'm sure will barely be played at all competitively), but i've yet to hear anything definite about arena. It's the second most played gametype on twl and they havn't even said "yes" they'll have it or "no" they won't.

i would laugh if they took out shield pack from T:V

even if its in there it might not be same as T2 sp so i might be out of a proffesion

Id say arena (team death match) would be included, there's no reason for any game to be released without it. I am sure duel mod will either come with it or be created afterwards as well.

How about Team Gauntlet, it was a great game type until good old interpol dominated it, that and it adds a great way to unwind and watch some of the incredible players duel.

agreed CD, and i know arena was created by a player, but u'd think that T:V would take a que and actually call it Arena (if they are in fact calling it Team Deathmatch).

I find it humerous that the tribes community is so cut off from main stream games that we sometimes think we're coming up with something original (like almost everything else in tribes has done) but when in reality it's just a regular game type in another game (TDM and arena for example).

I think "Arena" would be a great way to stay in touch with Tribes fans and the unique nomenclature of the community. I hope Sierra sticks with that.

think duel mod will come with T|V prepackaged as well? sure do hope so

umm did i miss something arena and tdm are dif one is fast amount of kills other is using your one life per round 7 rounds ya......

No, they're both just killing and surviving, as opposed to playing with a specific objective (ie the flag or switches) in mind.

The way you win the TDM/Arena game is irrelevant and doesn't differentiate between the two.

*Unnamed - A game type to support smaller numbers of players where the focus is on pure combat.

I get the impression (just guessing really) that the number of gametypes its gonna ship with will be fairly small, so I don't think its guaranteed to make the cut.
