2v2 Tournament conduct

What is the exact definition of the rules involving unsportsmanlike conduct in the tournament? What constitutes as unsportsmanlike conduct?

If I am faced with a player who constantly uses the pull/kick/yellow backstab (Or the kick/yellow backstab if I have absorb toggled) like I am faced with on EVERY public server, the simple thing to do is to avoid that. Is that combination of moves considered unsportsmanlike conduct if abused in the game? If not, then avoiding them whenever you see them in the battle shouldn't constitute unsportsmanlike conduct, either.

I want to see sabers clash... not my face constantly hitting the ground with a foot imprint in it... Yes, I use backstab, but I use the blue backstab that is harder to control and easier to avoid. I refuse to use the yellow... even if I am losing. I feel dirty every time I use it.

As for the kick, I don't even know how to use it... AND there is no counter to it except avoidance. You can't absorb it, and you don't know if they are gonna do it when you get in close or not. So, simply, I will not get in close to someone who always does that. Of course, the only way to kill someone is to get up close like that, so therefore, I will avoid it and hopefully get them pissed off as much as I would be. The object of this game is to have fun... Constantly being killed over and over again with the same damn move is unsportsmanlike, and I will not engage someone who abuses it.

No offense meant to you, Hawk627, but I don't believe the heavy/medium backstab is overpowering, let alone unsportsman-like. They are also easy to evade once you learn to see it coming, and they have their penalties. They are slower, and harder to recover from. Also, Saber Throw is effective against people running around backwards...

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I would highly disagree that this should be made "unsportsmanlike conduct" in the games. Yes, if you don't know how to defend against it, then it can be frustrating. But I wouldn't blame the person using it, I would try to find out how to defend against it and use their one-dimensional play against them.
Sorry, but that isn't unsportsmanlike conduct, as annoying as it is, it's not unsportsmanlike.
^^^

that attitude and the acceptance that since it aint been fixed its legal...is why this game sucks ass now and noone wants to play.

the gameplay and balance is just for absolute shit.
Hmm, i believe Raven is fixing the source in the next patch they are making, which is going to stop people turning while doing backstabs, stop people pulling off the forward slash in the air to avoid fall damage, and fix up problems with saber combat.
It will be interesting to see what happens when it comes out.
Well, I'd have to strongly disagree. It's people who refuse to learn to counter it using the various techniques in the game that do not like it. I know for a fact that if people wanted to win this tourney and the prize, that they would most likely use the moves that are the most effecient. Pull and backstab happens to be extremely efficient. It can be countered, and I am part of a clan (more like a community) that teaches such tactics on how to evade this move, not just by "seeing it coming" or anything like that, but how to get out of it and not die while you're on the ground with the backstab coming right to your face. Two players who are extremely good at pull/backstab/kick/evasion will be playing for 5-10 mins in a duel if they know what they're doing. People running backwards swinging trying to get a hit, more commonly knows as "butt-fighters" are extremely easy to kill.

Anyways, enough rambling on, if you wish to learn how to use these tactics properly, contact me via the Zone (Zone name: JA_DaShReNDaR_), e-mail (dash_rendar_69@hotmail.com), AIM (tehFiSHeS), or MSN (hoodwinker_@hotmail.com).

Is there any way to counter those kicks in the face that some people do all the time? Besides kicking
back yourself?

And I know ways of avoiding the backstab... I am a light side user, and I like to toggle with my absorb
when I am attacking, and I usually don't get pulled/kicked anymore. However... I still have to get in close,
and that's when they don't need to pull... they just kick me...

I am curious of listening to anyone's method of avoiding the kick while still getting in close with the saber.
As far as I know, there is now way for someone to avoid it without jumping backwards, kicking yourself, or
pushing. But jumping backwards stinks because they could just try and kick you again, and you have to
jump back again... a neverending process. Trying to kick them back results in a kick match, and pushing
them away usually doesn't do anything, because 75% of the people I play now use the light side and absorb
any force counters that players might throw against them.

I forsee that the winning team in this tournament will be the ones who use the light side, pull and/or kick
all the time, and the yellow or red backstab. I don't even know if there is a red backstab...Never tried it...
the blue is so much faster and cooler, and it is so cool fighting another blue user... I rarely even switch to
yellow.

I had a whole system worked out with the powers and their distribution for the tournament. However, I suspect
that the light side will be the order of the day for most people in the tournament, so having the push power will
probably be useless. I'll have to max out saber throw instead, or protect. Protect might work to get out of the
above situations discussed, but it drains your force pool a lot more then a kick and a backstab, so all the
opponent has to do is kick again, and there would not be enough force left to counter it again.

I'm sorry for babbling to you guys... nobody listens to me at home, so I had to find another place to talk
about this. Thx for listening.
