Just an FYI, save some folks a bit of time.

Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't seem to remove the patch, doing this will result in you crashing as the uninstaller doesn't remove the .dlls of the patch and seperate installs resulted in me crashing using the method I tried. (At least it didn't for me, as well as some other reports I've heard.)

As opposed to scouring the folder for .dlls and other residue of the patch that will take a lot of trial and error: here's what to do, uninstall and make sure you hit yes to keeping your configs and saved games (back them up if you're worried), then rename the folder, the principal folder that's left (Star Wars Jedi Knight II Jedi Outcast) to patched. Then reinstall.

From there move over your spconfig and mpconfig files, as well as other things, such as your saved games from sp, your demo folder, your autoexec.cfg, mapping tools, etc. Then delete the folder once you're sure you have everything moved.

When you restart it will take about a minute or two to contact the master server and get your server lists, just wait it out, I restarted a few times thinking something was wrong, but just waiting is the trick.

Gonna try doing a couple of double installs tonight after our match to see if I can get it working.
lol ... i just uninstalled, say no to config and save and deleted the directory.

I then reinstalled and all was fine exept that i had to all reconfigure my control which is not so hard !
I put JK2 1.02 on Win2k and 1.03 on win98.

1.02 owns 1.03 big time.
