"JK2x2" Tournament Up for Signups

That's right, the "JK2x2" 2vs2 TFFA Saber tournament is up for signups. For a 2 person team, one player must create a team, join the tournament then have the other player join up.

Posting it here first so you guys can get in before (hopefully) the brackets get filled when I send news out.

Attempting to secure some prizes for the top3 teams.

Yup, that's right - our first Jedi Knight II tournament is now open for signups. This tournament, dubbed "JK2x2" promises to be an action packed 2vs2 Sabers fight to the death. There is a limit of 32 teams in the tournament, so find a JK2 buddy and sign up now!


Below are instructions for signing up:


1) Select the dropdown menu with your registered nickname on it.

2) Select register team, fill out your team's information.

3) In your team administration area, select "Join new Competition"

4) At the bottom of the list, select the JK2x2 tournament and you're set.




Partial rules are posted which should answer most of your questions. If you have a question, complaint or death threat, either post in our Jedi Outcast Forums or drop me a line via email.

Are there going to be two ladders, NF and FF? And how long do we have to signup, since I need to find a wingman now. ;]

And another question, will Friendly Sabers be on? I find that having to avoid cutting your teammate down makes the match that much more challenging and discourages the hop-around-slashing-wildly method that many seem to employ.

Team damage will be on, it'll be jedi guardian force (level 5) - this is a tournament, not a ladder...

Could you possibly make a NF tourny?

Or is this just going to be a force 5 thing?
I'd greatly appreciate a NF bracket...

We aren't really looking to run multiple tournaments at once and as it is saber only, imo we need something to spice it up a bit. Limited force seems the way to go imo. Maybe a NF tournament in the future, but not right now .

And team damage helps cut down a lot of the lightning spam...

I know it's a competition.. heh. But it is still a competition ladder. ;p I'm disappointed about the force only aspect, but still looking forward to it.

But if it was NF we would have people who don't like the force aspect, can't please everyone

yeah, and honestly im too lazy to run 2 at once... rtcw tournament in the works too, so i guess i will be doing 2 at once afterall

Any idea on timeframe for start and length of tourney?

Prolly about 2 weeks in length. Will start in about a week (i'm hoping) assuming all teams have full rosters...

Can we have custom skins on our battles or only default one ?

The default ones that are selectable, not the single player / hacked ones that could be considered cheats.

When will the tourny be held?

I can't wait until this tournament starts up.
