The PC Gaming community has gone downhill faster than a liquored-up redneck stuffed inside a Goodyear.
People are now spending 400 plus on the latest Nvidia card that can bump-map, pixel shade, and vertex light 4 billion Counterstrike polygons per millisecond - all of this, so their Aimbots can AWP whore spiked models through bright-white-wallhacked-mansions with the greatest of ease. Way to go soldiers. Update those detonator drivers and make mother proud.
These are the same gamers who sat idly on their acne-infested asses and turned a blind eye while some of the greatest websites went down in bankrupt flames. Now perhaps they were too busy bunny-hopping their retarded selves around town, or uploading pictures of gaping anuses to hotornot.com, to notice gaming related websites slip off the radar.
Games in the quake series began to require as much skill as a Java whack-a-mole applet when played at a resolution of 1020x768 or above. Quick, flinch, click, wash, rinse, repeat I remember the good old days where you actually had to camp the hell out of that Red Armor on DM6 just to stand a snowball's chance But I digress.
And what's with these bouncy-Asian-Konami Kids? Dance Dance Revolution has become more than just the caption of a montage found on Mahir fansites. Welcome to my glorified Nintendo-power-pad with LED's, I kiss you. *kiss/FUZZ*
And comedy, online?
Comedy is no longer in the eye of the beholder; unless, of course, 'the beholder' happens to be the nickname of some pasty-white-ass-clown of a zero with a following of a thousand other dungeons-and-dragons-avatar'ed-rejects who agree with every little LOL he posts on some forum.
Hell
All Your Base came and went faster than the stoically queued Asians in the bukkake-montage sitting on my desktop.
30 second stick figure flash animations set to Japanese pop music with unintelligible subtitles are now regarded as creative genius, while botched PhotoShop jobs of the Dell Guy standing on a balcony in front of a 747 on 9-11 are hailed as the greatest thing since sliced bread, being eaten by Christ during his second coming! Dude! You're getting an LOL! *intel sound/fuzz*
And file sharing? Why is it that merely downloading Peer to Peer software now means you're exposing yourself to more backdoor activity than a busty seventeen- year-old-Bangkok-beauty speaking broken English innuendoes at the Corkscrew Club in PatPong? Spyware has your PC being probed more than a blossoming boy-band applicant from some Podunk map dot anywhere west of the Mississippi. Gator? Oh, my Mamma said that's why Windows is so ornery 'cause, 'cause of 'dem Gators. *waterboy yell/fuzz*
DNF is still on a production schedule tighter than the nether-regions of every 3/4-perspective-dimly-lit preteen-with-a-webcam.
Online audio shows, specifically those geared towards gamers, still feature as much personality, character and pizzazz as a
lobotomized WorldCom exec reporting an accurate company forecast for the next fiscal millenium.
Gamespy Industries and everything it is affiliated with still sucks.
*cue fuzz*
