Question for the Admins??

I officially joined the HEL CTF team on 8/3 the same day that Jawa accepted the challenge from HK; however, HK is insisting that I not be allowed to play for what reason I dunno. I just wanted to get an official ruling on my eligibility to participate in the match.

p.s. knux you need to teach your teammates some respect for other people's servers (mainly BF's). If they wanna trash talk that's fine, but to bring it to another clan's server is rude especially when people are trying to play and even more so when some of the BF guys tell NeoJ to shutup and play or leave.

You can play....no where in the ctf rules for JK2 does it state any type of rule.

They must be thinking of OGL where a member must be ont he roster for 7 days before they can play.

And im pretty sure once a team goes to the vapor its records are deleted as well. That maybe why the loss is not showing up.....best explanation I can give, based on the interface the boss has here.

Ladder members join teams per ladder and may only be a member of one team per ladder. Roster changes may be made on any day. In order for a player to be considered 'eligible' for a match, he must be on the either team's roster (Challenger or Defender) before the Defender accepts the challenge.

And, we quit the ladder sometime after that, and when we came back it kept old records.. but I want to know why the hell it didnt keep the record of our KILZ match.. hrm..

knux if i joined the team the same day the challenge was accepted how are you certain that i joined before or after it was issued?

From our rule book:

So if you joined the same day as HEL accepted, then you are not allowed to play. You needed to join BEFORE they accepted the challenge. I'm sorry, but HK is in the right here if he wants to be technical.

getting technical would be the time, not the day. if he joined on the same day before the challenge was accepted he can play. this is exactly what the rules state.

That's kinda what i was wondering about, because if you wanna take the rules exactly as they are then time of day would be the deciding factor. If i joined HEL before Jawa accepted the challenge the same day then i was already on the roster and would thus be able to play and if i remember correctly i joined early in the morning at about 2-3 am so the chances that i officially joined before Jawa accepted would be pretty high.

Saitou's join date = 8/3/2002

IF you wanna get technical, match comms were first posted by Jawa from HEL at 8/2/2002 10:59:13 PM and by NeoJ of HK at 8/2/2002 11:32:28 PM. This would mean that Jawa would have accepted the match on 8/2, not 8/3, else he wouldn't be posting in match comms. Even if you joined early or late on 8/3, that makes no difference as the match was accepted prior to that.

I'm posting this so that there will be no confusion tonight.
