Try out Halo?

I know its off subject but I am curious if anyone is gonna play it online. Got it today, played it on my lunch, liked what I saw. I will ahve a better review once I log a few hours.

I'm not flaming you Stry at all, i want to try Halo PC but here's my view on Halo in general...

Halo came out for Xbox and people ate that shit up, multiplayer gaming brought to many people for the very first time. These people have obviously never gamed on a PC or they really wouldn't have cared much for Halo, it's nothing special or really anything different from what WE all play everyday.

So when you hear the uproar about Halo on Xbox its mostly gaming n00bs that had never played anything like it, even though there's countless games like it on PC coming out all the time. I just couldnt get into it 2 vs 2 or 4 vs 4 when I had Renegades at home that could be 20 vs 20 without worrying about the number of Xboxs, controllers, so forth.

But for PC it may actually be worth something, although I didnt see anything different really. Same characters, vehicles, maps and so forth, but I don't know enough about it. Sorry for the rant on Halo, I just never understood the hype behind it when it's basically the same premise that's already been available to PC gamers for years.

My ultimate hypothesis is that any Halo gamer who tried Renegades for a week would EASILY switch to T2 Ren hands down. It just has so much more to offer, but that's just my retarded theory.

With all that being said, I still want to play it.

good thing the game runs like shit... that's what happens when you fuckin port a game from console to PC...

I bought the game, it runs, looks, and plays great. I think W is going to join the Halo ladder. I recommend picking it up.

as far as Halo bieng all the rage - IMO it isnt too different from alot of FPS out there. That said, I am having a blast going through the levels in single player and while the multi seems pretty run of the mill, it could have promise. It runs great on my 1.2 athlon w/ GF 4 so I cant complain about bad performance.

So far I give it a 7 out of 10 which isnt to bad. I still think T2 was/is a better concept which was ruined by T1 being a better game as far as gameplay went

Multiplayer Halo doesn't seem that great to me, but the single player game is fun as hell.

Looks like their going to fist each other while playing the game

After I got it to finnaly stop crashing on load, and found a server that had more then a 56k connection... it was a really fun game.
