Well Cuda I remember your peep who had our flag being in a wraith turle style as well, we both turtled and AFO caps at the last second!

I loved that map I truly thought we were going to have a tie there.

On the second map you guys were just as awesome utilizing the same strat we did!!!

This is not fair mod, not all the armors are fair, most teams play to win. Do you think in war people let the enemy have a fair chance? hell no, people use what works, cheap or not. Hence qfire, autopoints, the vulcan, sniping, odetind, vpad sniping, spy bombing, turtling, Ho rushing, raping, well just about everything is gay however you look at. Either you accept it or you don't, i did awhile ago.

Theres nothing wrong with HK as a whole. I think they lost touch with Renegades at 25034. They never pub play because they dont agree with the tactics being used now. Ren has changed a lot since the spam and awe days.

Thats all fine and dandy, I will also like and respect HK as a team, i just dont think thier team has played enough new ren to find all the new styles useful.

I too think pubbing is lame now a days, so i pub Deset Combat, and that too has its lameness.

Hmmm, turtling has been an "accepted" tactic since Tribes Renegades. Think turtling now is gay? Harken back to T1 Ren with the clipped FF's, lasers, ions and shocks blazing...THAT was turtling. A turtled Raindance was a happy, warm and safe Raindance!

The only time I could understand a "turtling is gay" comment is if one team did it for more than half the match. Since I didn't play in the match last night, I can't make that call. But even if that happens, it's not like one shouldn't be prepared for it to occur in a match.

Match play is where anything goes and i think everyone knows that... Be turtleing gay or not, its what can win a team a match... and it did...

But reguardless of what one may say, there is more fun chasing down someone with the flag outside of the base then there is bunkered down inside...

Unfortunatly we couldnt do what we wanted to last night which would have been rather coo... Our plan about 15 mins into the standoff was to return the flag to afo and get ours back when they tried to cap... Due to time constraints and afos Uber defense setup around the flag and everywhere for that matter this was made quite difficult... Funny thing was it almost worked when we lost the flag due to uber sniper activity. Either way i had a ball passing the flag with cuda...

the chaingun isnt gay, its lame... too often you get whored down by a cg when you would like to get whore by a disc...

but your right, do what you have to to win... and you guys did that and won... the odd thing is, we did what we wanted to to have fun and nearly won too... makes you think about whats more importaint

My only comment on the subject:

Turteling is an accepted and often used tactic. AFO didnt have their entire team supporting the turtle, I got killed to many times for that and I set turrets.

HK "should" have been able to break the turtle. We didnt, therefore AFO won that map with a last minute cap. Well done gents.

The other map, also a 1-0 last minute cap map, was just plain exciting. A great map. I don't think you AFO guys liked our resupply tactic, but then again that Alien in the base was a pain.

All in all it was a great match. AFO played well, as did we. I hope to do it again soon, but this time we should have a firm plan and some practice of that plan under our belts.

Like I said in my earlier post, GG. AFO deserved the win.
