Scrimmages...

Ok guys I dont know how many of you have considered playing in weekly scrimms but we are wanting to. They are very productive especially for smaller teams. You should look at a scrimm not as who are we playing and will we win but as this being a great time to practice strats in real world situations. I know when we practice we do a D vs O and thats ok but not very realistic and is not the same as a scrimm. The reason I am bringing this up is because we are finding it very hard to get someone to accept a scrimm with us. I dont know why and it is frustrating. We have several ways to try to setup scrimms with each other now and they are not being used. And usually when they are they seem to fall apart.

A great group of guys also setup a super scrimm calendar, see link below, that we can all use. That calendar wont work well if only a coupld teams join it so we need good participation for it to work..

Anyway talk to your captains, ask for scrimms, and letz start to have more fun and learn when we need for our upcomming matches..

i think the reason noone really wants to scrim, is the ladder is still really small so there is a good chance you will be playing the team you scrimmed, so it would be like seeing whaat the other team is up to before the match, it really shouldnt matter all that much i guess, but thats what people think.

Well I am one of those people that think that there are no real secrets to a matchin T2. there is only so much you can do that one team will not already be aware of. If a team like BaRx is willing to scrimm to try out new tatics and to have fun than I am suprised other teams are not wanting to see what we do. It goes both ways when it comes to seeing what the other team does. I can tell you right now that if I wanted a demo of another team I could get it in a min. I am suure other teams have our demos from prior matches so whats the big secret..? Whos to say our D in a scrimm wouldnt be completely different in a real match.. come on guys that is no excuse to get to playing for fun and not waiting 1.5 weeks for a match.

Remember this is a game and ment to be fun. I bet the majority of players would rather scrimm once a week for the fun/expierence than to sit in a server for 2 hours watching the D team play with turrets..
