Tribes Council at UVALAN 5 posted by old_skul on 5/30/2003
We are extremely proud to be able to present to UVALAN 5 attendees the foundation upon which our community is built. Come to UVALAN 5, and meet the guys making the next game, and take a look at it for yourself. Thanks to our number-one sponsor, Sierra.

You didn't think we had forgotten, did you? Following the success of last year's gathering of Tribes minds, The Tribes Team will be holding another Tribes Council this year on August 1st and 2nd. And since we know many, many of you will be in Chantilly, VA for UVALAN5 on those dates, we're going to come to you!
For those that don't know, a Tribes Council is an event that allows the Tribes Team to collect input from the Tribes community for upcoming titles, in this case, the recently announced Tribes: Vengeance being developed in Australia by Irrational Games (http://www.irrationalgames.com).
This year, Tribes Council will be held in conjunction with UVALAN5 (http://www.uvalan.com) and is open only to UVALAN5 attendees. In addition to meeting Thrax, Menzo, and Marweas, if you're at UVALAN this year, you'll get the inside scoop on our big future plans for Tribes. You'll get an exclusive demo of the game nobody has seen, but everybody is talking about, Tribes: Vengeance. There will also be breakout sessions that allow us to meet with server admins, shoutcasters, fansites, leagues, mappers, and modders to hear how we can work better to support them. Still not enough? We're showing up with boxes of games, t-shirts, and other giveaways.
UVALAN, billed as the Greatest Tribes LAN on Earth, sells out in days, so those interested in attending are encouraged to register as soon as tickets go on sale, June 2nd. Celebrating its 5th birthday this year, UVALAN includes a variety of tournaments in Starsiege: Tribes and Tribes 2, prizes, and live shoutcasts from community stations.
Hope you llamas had fun at lima, imma go smooze with the big dawgs.. HAHHA
