While 20 loadout favorites seems like a lot, as I've gotten into the many roles you can play in T2, I've been dissatisfied with the combinations of weapons I could have ready access to. You can use the quickfaves keys for packs and grenades, but not for weapons. Seeking a better way to organize my favorites, I came up with this script.
UberFaves starts out buy letting you have as many as 30 favorites. It offers an extended favorites menu whether you use its other features or not.
It also provides three new keybinds. Each bind. when pressed, activates one set of 10 keybinds on your numpad. This means you can press one key to set your numpad to a new set of favorites. So getting to any favorite is two keypresses away. The neat thing is the initial keybinds can be on the numpad. If this is confusing, read the in-game readme - hopefully it will make things clear. I use this to divide my loadouts into 10 each of light, medium and heavy armors. While I don't actually have 30 armors defined, I am much better organized with the ones I do use.
Note that this script does not alter your normal numpad binds. For those individuals who want to use the numpad for something else and never have the numpad become inventory keys, UberFaves creates a file you can edit which defines the 10 keys it uses within each inventory set.
One of the things I think is coolest about UberFaves is that it also provides nifty voice announement of your selected loadout. All aspects of the announcement are customizable, but with everything enabled, you will hear your armor, pack, and grenade type announced when you buy gear. Only you can hear these announcements - it is not said to your team. I personally find this handy for having selected the wrong pack or grenade accidentally - you hear it right away.
Finally, it was pointed out to me by MrWaterMonkey that you can't use quickfaves to preselect both a pack and a grenade in a single trip to the inventory station. I thought that was awfully silly, so I fixed it in this script. Now you can select both types of quickfaves in one pass.
New! Now includes an optional loadout display HUD (with optional transparancy), and keybinds to make your quick-select grenades and/or backpacks "sticky" (that is, they stay selected even if you select a new loadout). It also now has options to announce the quick-select items as you choose them.
