member of team [ ] dies at the age of 23 :(

matthew "ntry[ ]" bright died two days ago from complications of the flu. those who knew him and wish to pitch in with us for some sort of arrangements (we havent made any as we just found out, probably flowers for his family or the like) can be included if they wish. there is a thread about it on our bb at http://bb.d3k.org (sorry you must register to view the thread) if you want to pitch in. maybe we'll get a giant card with everyones name on it or something. we wont be asking for monetary assistance, just maybe a few words and the gesture.

You have got to be kidding me...He was a cool guy I used to talk to him all the time when I started out on TWL.

vayne i appreciate the offer, but i dont want anyone to think im trying to get peoples money. sadly enough, i've seen people who thought someone was making this kind of thing up to scam others over the net.

what i would like to do though is for the people who knew him to just jot down a few words and send them to me so i can gather them and send them to his family. a card, a little note, whatever. even if you didnt know him, condolences to his family would be great. he really was a great person, and his loss is a tragic one. having his family know he was loved all over the world would be a small comfort, and if thats all i can offer than i would like to do at least that.

^thats as much as we know right now.

nom's injury was something i always picked with him about. nom was a large guy and lifted weights regularly. in a weight lifting injury he broke his assbone. i can still hear him sigh every time i asked him how his ass felt. he took everything in good fun. im gonna miss him.

this sucks. Didn't know him, but it sounds like he really didn't deserve this, as no one does. My condolences.

Wow, this is a shock. I'm terribly sorry for your loss Kurupt. I did have the opportunity to play against ntry on a number of occasions and he was an excellent player as well as an excellent sportsman. This is.. terrible.

wow, what a shock, such a great guy too. Thank you Kurupt for taking charge in putting something together for him, im sure NTRY would like that. I wonder if there is something we can do, perhaps a day of silence, no matches or anything for a day, to remember Ntry..just a thought...

I am thinking he would have wanted for people to be playing the game he loved and having fun so here's my thoughts if Kuruption agrees.

Why don't we pick one day or this whole weekend Fri, Sat and Sun which all the clan founders who wish to support can change the name of their server's to something like "In memory of [ ] ntry 00/00/00 - 00/00/00" with his birth and death dates listed.

Maybe all server players can wear [ ] in front of their normal names and play in servers during this time, We could all share a vent server or channel, pub with each other or seek scrims or scrim each other.

I vote for the 3 days so all has a chance to play in these servers.

Also perhaps a thread can be started just for people to pay their respect and send the prayers, we can then print them out and mail them to his family.

Some of my thoughts, lmk guys.

ya i can edit the names of our 3 servers to honor him, its the least we could do

My servers will renamed as soon as we have the DOB and DOD or I suppose just year of birth would suffice.

same for Reality's server

all i know as of now was that he passed on february 28th. i havent been able to find out his birthdate, i only know that he was 23 becuase we were the same age. hopefully one of us will find something soon.

i also tried checking tennessee newspapers for obituary's but he hasnt come up yet. how long does it generally take before one would appear, if it will at all?

Yeah, so everytime one of the guys from box clan or anyone else that was close to him sees one of those servers, he will think about his death more. Very good idea....not.

have you ever heard of paying respect to people?? were not doing it to remind them that he died, were doing it to show how much he was cared about and how much he will be missed.

matt and his old lady, as he always called her. been some contact with his family from a few of our members who knew him well. you guys can read about it on our boards.

I skipped my weekly LAN parties to play online for this memorial thing. I went into TC vent and it was just me and PissTest...he was afk....then when I left, I tried t come back but the server wasn't working....

Wow, I remember playing against this guy alot (always a tough player), and playing with him on vent a few times. So weird having to talked to somebody one day then a short time later they're dead and gone...it can all end so quickly.
