TWL Remake or retake?

I don't know if I'm the only one but it feels like ESL is the main house for AA competition now days. Pls correct me if I'm wrong!

TWL is where it all started for me with AA and competitive play and it has been my main hub of competition for a long time now. But, this feeling is slowly dying and TWL is no longer my part of my daily read of forums n' such. It has been replaced with ESL and AAO-Daily.

My question is simple, what are you TWL-admins doing/planning to get back on track?

Last I looked there were 95 teams in 4v4 ladder and only a few months ago there were 120.
---------

Peace!

Daily is a great asset to the community what comes to discussions, news, interviews and such. We have no plans to competite with them on those areas, quite the opposite, we encourage people to visit the Daily site to keep up whats happening in the community. The conversations here at the TWL League forums has decreased quite alot, thanks to Daily's dedicated community forums.

I am not fully aware of the plans on our ladder side as I'm not that much affiliated with those anymore. eXplicit might want to answer this one. But we are planning new leagues with our League staff. Currently our colleagues at ESL are hosting major competitions so we are not rushing with our decisions on our next move.

Last time the EU 4v4 OBJ Ladder had +120 teams was April 2008. The decrease in the numbers is due to other competition sites starting their own ladders and also the ladder admins activity on keeping the ladder active plays a major factor. There would be many more teams if there was not team removals done for teams keeping up with the activity rule etc. If we get back to April 2008, it had higher amount of teams (124) but the activity procentage was lower what is now for example.

Like allways, we encourage teams, if they have suggestions for new ladders/rules/format/leagues etc etc to tell their representative to post in our Leadership forums. The leadership forum has been quite silent for many months now.

4v4 are now down to 90 clans.
Nooz, you say your not planning any leagues because of the EMS atm, but my idea is that ESL will start planning something after the EMS again. I think TWL doesnt have a choise other then creating a league during the ESL leagues. Isnt this waiting for a moment that will never come?

correct me if i'm wrong.

Well I didnt say we werent planning on anything, just that we aint rushing with any decisions. And your right, the options for us are quite limited when there are many other leagues etc running and now with EMS being on our league nights. But it will not prevent us launching our own, we just need to make sure ours will be good enough so we can competite against other leagues and not just rush out with something which will not work.
Sounds good, just wanted to check.
4v4 down to 71 teams :O
Kill I don't keep them their just to keep you happy im sure the teams in there appreciate when they challenge someone they mainly get accepted matches

Keeping the numbers there to show AA is not shrinking would be stupid. Every competition site is the same not just TWL and anyone who tells you otherwise it talking sh**

Everyone is waiting in the wings for AA 3.0

Why would I want you to keep the numbers up? I never asked you to do that...pls read the first post in this thread.

And yes, by now AA2 is dead and TWL got rolled by ESL. Looking forward to a TWL comeback with AA3
I know that TWL is not really doing much on the competitive side. So I dont really expect anything anymore from TWL. You all know I dont have anything against twl, but I was hoping to see a little bit more action.
