I was just wondering if this rule was still in effect after CAL's recent banning-spree. Anyway, can an admin please clarify? Thanks.
i dont really follow CAL but if they ban people for cheating i guess they have proofs, so why TWL shouldnt honor their bans?

Because now they do it a bit differently. Several of those kicks were for .ini exploits in pubs. I think TWL only bans (or suspends) for .ini exploits in matchs. So there might be a conflict there.

Actually it looks like almost everysingle one of those is a hack. Some of them were caught by a cvar check, but its still a hack.

that says nothing. there have been several instances of twl bans getting lifted...

but this wasnt lifted by cal... it was lifted by a third party with no oversight from cal as far as I know.

edit: and I'm less concerned with bans that get lifted, than with bogus bans that dont get lifted. The whole interaction between the third party AC person on CAL forums and the team of the banned person has left me with less faith in the anticheats than before.

TWL will honor the CAL ban list for all real cheating bans. One player on the list is not TWL banned because he was hit with a map bug and not a cheat.
