I don't see what the big deal is, if I had a nickel for every game that stopped development after 2 patches I would have...some money.
It's really not a big deal for EA to move their developers onto other projects. That is the way the software business works.

The real question here is if any of them are moving onto MOHPA Expansion or future MOH franchise projects.

I'm trying to get an answer as I type this, but don't get your hopes up.

I THINK what you're going to end up seeing is a wholesale shitcanning of the ''Non-console'' MoH staff at EA before July. Plus, look for the LA division to start getting smaller and smaller.

I'm trying to find any numbers that they may have made public, but I don't think I'll find any. Apparently the Xmas sales were a fraction of a percent of what they projected. The overall sales figures are probably so poor that the suits in EA's boardroom said ''kill it'', ergo no more support.

If BF2 tanks, watch for them to drop the Games division & stick w/ the Sports division.

I would be OMGSUPEROMGOMGOMG Suprised if BF2 flopped. They hit the mark with 1942, as much as I cant stand the game, and they actually seem to care about supporting that one.

We need MoH:AA Source

actually, I am so ticked at the way pa worked out... I would almost like to see bf2 flop so I can stop getting my hopes up that ea will make a game worth buying.
LOL
MOH:AA source? I second the notion

bf1942 was avg. DC mod team owned it. Hence the EA support. BF2 being made by DC devs. = flop. EA rushes everything. Asks to much in a given time. PA would have a great game if EA stayed out of TKO's bizz. But no, they rushed it, and asked the community to fix it. Can't fix this dog.
If EA patched any of their games to make them perfect...then no one would go out and buy their next rushed item to make them more money.
Seems like cod patched there game pretty good and everybody went out and bought uo. So i really don't see how that can be true. No mater how good a game is patched people will get bored with it and buy the next series if the first game was that good. But when a company is going to drop support only 4 months after it's release that will make people not buy the next series. We saw this with breakthrough and pa. neither game was patched the correct way and sales went down the tube on both of them.

So i really do think it is the other way around.

EA sucks! Its that simple they are in it for the money and do not care about anything else but that.

Buy HL2/Counter Strike Source! Now these are how games are supposed to be.........Long live "Valve"

With me not being pro-communist, I can handle that. The rule of capitalism is: ''All the market can bear''. What EA is doing is ''over-bearing'', so to speak.
Medal of Honor is the bastard son of EA, It has better characteristics then the true son (BF) but they ignore the bastard and focus on the one that is legit
the last battlefield patch to come out was just a month or 2 ago. that game was released the same year as aa.

night and day between how the 2 games are supported

I agree, but how many cars do you think a major auto manufacture will sell if they do not support the product once it has been built? If they build the car then they supply no parts to repair the vehicle how many people will buy it once the public figures out what they are doing? No one will. Yet everyone still buys EA games trash, game after game with in many cases little to no support.

What comes around goes around and I for one will go out of my way to not buy anything EA games builds. I buy a lot of PS2 games for my kids.....sadly EA makes excellent console games.

Hell I always buy my games so they will make money and make more and better games.

But EA is getting it backwards making more and worse games so the customer doesn't want to buy their products anymore. The next EA title I want is gonna be GG Google.

What I was saying is that they are charging more than the market can bear. That's bad for business.

good. imho they should never be allowed to work in game programming ever again.
Unless EA make MOHPA playable, or work on MOHAA, then I will never buy another Medal of Honor game again.
Unless someone or group makes a source mod for MOH:AA/SH/BT/PA .... and MOH game on source would be very very nice. I have no idea where to start.... how hard would it be to import it all? Would a community form behind it?

As of right now EA is not planning anymore MOH games. But you never know. They also said the MOH series was finished with Spearhead.
MoH : Desert Storm?

Now that could sell.

There are rumors of a prequil to MOH:AA on some of the fan sites. EA still won't admit it, but they didn't admit that PA was beind developed until it was nearly finished.
