1.6 final

All CS players must have upgraded to 1.6 by Sept. 20, that gives you till Friday at midnight to comply. We have added a field in your profile to add the new STEAM id. The ladders and league will be played as released with no exceptions (ie. the shield). The upgrade is buggy and slow, but all fixes will be automatically downloaded thru STEAM when released. Can you put the 1.6 update on the download section please?

its not that easy this time, you have to download steam and then steam makes the update.

i personallyy think steam blows... y not leave 1.5 da way it cs 1.6 is like a new game and and everyhates it and da gay riot shields also...

You can't. We are forced to play 1.6 or not play at all. This is due to the WON servers going down soon and you will not be able to play 1.5 after that, well only on lan.

The game will be played as released, I am aware of a few bugs and exploits, until this is fixed the game will remain intact.

What does steam have to do with 1.6. Like you said earlier, steam sucks, but 1.6 is cool, will there be an alternative to steam. Or is it even possible?

Well steam is the servers that are replacing WON... 1.6 is the new cs update that can only be played on Steam ...

1.6 is fun as hell. esp when you get shielders thinking that you cant kill them.

steam is an awesome concept, it just lacks just like any new killer app. with time it will be totally awesome (i already love it)

I think steam is a lot better then 1.5. The new interface is alot quicker and easyer to join games. You can ban the shield just like the awp. Shields are like AWP's, they are gay once abused.

yeah but awp's dont make you invulnerable.

steam is a damn good concept it just needs more development.

and when is the damn friends network going to be back up?
