why?

Historical capture recovered from the Wayback Machine · captured 2005-05-06 · 10 posts
if a player has a concern about something in the TWL league why is the players post deleted if it concerns this person most likely it concerns others in the league. TWL is for the teams to have a say so because they play here, and if it's legit post and maybe it is and if he flamed the admins
then the admin should request the person to edit there post so exclude the flame and keep it in here

Because usually it doesn't. The posts that get deleted are blatant accusations are plain out ignorant rants against TWL, their admins, or something else. If you would view the other side, you'd notice TWL always loves feedback from the community, and their are many threads you can find disapproving of something. But these threads are not deleted because they address a concern that many people share and are stated in a concise and mature manner. This is probably the fifth thread about this and I am getting sick and tired of people like you coming in here and bashing these admins. Remember, they work on their own time for you, and you are not asked to pay any fee at all, so if there is a small problem once in a while, deal with it.

wow the FIFTH time this has happened, you would think that there is something going on. instead of posting an arguement to me why i'm posting this, and maybe you should listen to your fellow gamers and quit flameing me.

Cannibalpaul, Del has not flamed you in any way, shape, or form.

He is quite correct that we love feed-back, including constructive critisism. Outright critisism is even not a problem provided that it is civil. Flames and outright abusive posts directed to anyone, not just admins, are not tollerated and will result in deletion, locking, and possible forum suspensions.

If you're having an issue with the way something was handled, why not email the appropriate admin? There is a chain of command for a reason. If you are unhappy with a ruling from an admin, speak to their lead admin, if you're unhappy with that ruling, speak to their competition manager, if you're unhappy with that ruling you can speak to the competition director, and if you're still unhappy with that ruling you can email quality control ( qualitycontrol@teamwarfare.com ) . In fact you may email quality control at any time if you feel there is something unjust or innapropriate going on.

I would suggest reading over the Forum Survival Rules and guidelines if you're wondering what has happened for a thread to be removed or locked.

If you have whitnessed the removal of a thread that has not violated anything listed in the forum survival rules and guidelines please let me know.

I've heard a lot of "this admin isn't following the rules so i'm coming to you" going on lately and quite frankly it's getting old. People, as Cougar has mentioned above there is a chain of command at TWL to ensure a system of checks and balances is in place. (Ladder/League Admin, Lead Ladder/League Admin, Competition Manager, Competition Director, QA) If you feel a ruling is wrong or unjust or something needs changed and your ladder/league admins are not listening to you take it up the chain of command.

TWL strives to maintain a fair, balanced, fun, and competitive environment for ALL gamers that listens to its community. That is why this system is in place in the first place. Please use it that's what it is there for Many changes have been made to ladders and leagues based solely on community feedback. If you go about things in the proper format you will often get the results you desire if it is indeed what the majority of the community wants.

Indeed, this is the fifth time because you five do not understand how the system works. Once again, these guys are working on their own time to provide you with a service. They get many complaints, have many matches to schedule and deal with, have their own teams to manage, and have their real lives to balance as well. Sometimes not everyone can get what they want, and people coming in and blatantly flaming the admins does not help. like Cougar and Zepster have stated, if you have a problem, take it up the chain of command, do it in an orderly fashion and you will get an answer. But you must give them a chance to respond to you instead of having no patience whatsoever. Patience is a virtue, learn it and use it.

sorry to flame you, but I thought it would be funny if I said that you need to change your knee pads they are getting alittle dirty..

like I said before there are legit complaints that other teams should know about. even thou most are not

like for instance why is a match killed if a teams breaks a rule. shouldn't if be a forfiet instead of a match kill.
One, that joke sucked.

Two, other teams don't need to know of these complaints. Why should they? Are you saying that leaving complaints for others to see could make them realize they agree with the complaint? That's retarded. If a team doesn't have a complaint to begin with, then the game is running fine for them. If they have a complaint that concerns just their team, they are told to contact an admin and the post is deleted. If the complaint concerns the league as a whole, AND is presented constructively, then the admins have no qualms to leave the post to see what others in the community feel. Other than this situation, there is no other reason to leave a complaint on the forums. And the example you used for a complaint you should talk to an admin about on irc. If you still disagree with TWL's reasoning on the subject, THEN post in the forums asking TWL to relook the rule and get more community support behind you. Other than that, there is no reason why a complaint should remain on the forums.

your repeating yourself.

Cannibalpaul:

First, for your "joke" you may consider this a formal warning. Flaming, insults, and other forms of abuse are not, and will not be tollerated. Keep your posts civil.

Secondly, you still have failed to address my post. In order to get an issue regarding a match situation resolved you must contact the appropriate admin. If your concern involves an admin, contact their superior. Posting in the forums regarding the issue will NOT yield a result. The forums are intended for discussion that is absent of match related issues, those can be dealt with in private with an appropriate admin either via irc or via email.
