I don't know..I think it is spyware that has created what they think is a undetectable backdoor, but it is obviously flawed...so I would guess no.

None wrong here either, but i did have this happen to me a while back. No internet connection some issue with soundblaster drivers on that one. They eventually fixed within a week or so. I am sure enough complaints come in with detailed desriptions they can fix it in a week or 2

yep got that problem got to restore my hard drive thanks XFIRE it affects mainly XP pro or Home with SP2...that program you have up there didnt work for me

Do you have system restore enabled? If so, I think you have to do that...I didn't have it enabled therefore I had to go to that link.

Ever since I first installed Xfire it would make me drop my LAN connection and say Network Cable Unplugged every few seconds to every few minutes. It seemed very random, and very annoying... I stoped using it awhile back.

Too late...luckily I have XP Home SP1, and it hasn't affected me as far as I can tell. Post any updates in this thread.

from what i read, both SP1 and SP2 machines have been affected. this SP1 machine has had no problem whatsoever.

Hmmm...I've been suing Xfire for months now, I'd say since March, and I've never had any problem with it. Ever. It works perfectly fine for me now and has done so in the past. I keep wondering why I hear of people who have problems with it. Maybe the Xfire crew is right and it is just a coincidence, or maybe Xfire detects your hacks and shuts down your computer

well, i know of people who had lag problems earlier when using xfire (i never had a problem), so there are SOME conflicts out there i suppose.

first off... you have no choice but to update.

so if you mean - dont use it, remove it.. then say that.

otherwise, to be able to use the program, you must have the latest version. as far as the connectivity problem... stop using xfire until the next build, and hope it works then.

work, secondary computer, friend's computer, library, internet cafe... i can prolly think of more, but just nor right now.
