Perhaps instead of complaining about a PC video game you should read a book:
It will "bropabli" help you deal with these feelings of inferiority when facing better equipped opponents.
one can bitch about almost every weapon in the game, but they all have there place. If you know people are coming with shotguns then stay away from them and take them out with a SMG or machine gun from a safe distance or here's a thought try using one!

Exactly. I have had my fair share of this. Either fight them from a safe distance like scoobysnacks said or if needed just use the shottie yourself and even the playing field.

Triggerfx and I had a bout with Shotties. We kept being beat by them and not using them. Se we decided, or atleast i did, that we were going to use them and use the enemies tactic against them.
Guess what? We won a match finally. WOOOHOOOO!!! ------------------------------------
its really not to hard to dodge most shotguners (since they use the weapon to replace the other weapons which they have a hard time aiming with) duck lean run in circles what ever 90% of the time i never get hit and they get a rifle to the head but when i do start getting owned i just bust it out kill 4 or 5 people then go back to rifle if youre going to use a dumbed down weapon at least try not to suck with it but there always the solution of playing on a no rocket / sg server or play on realism servers where everyone just waves their machine gun back and forth cuase they dont have to aim thatll get ya good at dodgin people
well i dont know what this wave crap is ...lol..ive never seen anyone, or at least anyone i play with wave thier mg back n forth on a realism server. if anything everyone is taking 2-3 shot aimed bursts for kills.
actually all i play is realism and yes tons of poeple just wave their gun back and forth i dont mean like stand at the end of the street just moving the mouse back and forth im talkin about when you get up close to them if you look at their gun over half the time you see it just going back and forth not really aiming just pointing the gun in your general direction
I personally have respect for anyone that uses a rocket and doesn't blow himself up all the time. I've used all weapons and like all weapons. Axis bolt action is my favorite but I get more kills with the skillless smgs and mgs(and the shotgun also). Don't get me wrong I like those weapons but how hard is it to use a weapon that's actually good long and short range, doesn't require much aiming skill because, and, unlike other guns, you don't have only one shot to kill the guy if you miss a few bullets it doesn't matter just keep holding the trigger and swing it in his general direction. Or do the short burst from long distance and do almost the same amount of damage as a rifle.
With the shotgun you have to stick to tight spaces get that first or second shot or you're dead (unless you outskill the person or get lucky or you can camp with the shotgun (yeah yeah campers suck because they kill you) imo (in my opinion) if a person can sit there and patiently wait for someone to come around the corner or through the door then they deserve the kill. All you have to do is avoid the obvious routes open the doors from off to the side not while standing in the doorway, etc, etc, etc... Just use common sense instead of whining it just annoys everyone and brings the mood of the server down.
Oh yeah, the almighty rocket. If it's so good why doesn't everyone use it? Oh yeah because you move like a snail so you're easy to pick off especially by snipers, the rockets hurt you if not kill you half the time, the rockets DON'T GO WHERE YOU AIM from medium to long distance depending on luck, oh and while you're reloading the enemy has time to shoot approx. 4 shotgun shots, almost a full clip from the mg/smg (if not all the ammo/clip on all of these weapons)
so basically you die 2-5 times over depending on weapon and how near they are. if they're far away they'll likely dodge you're rocket anyways, oh yeah that's right, the only weapon where the "bullet" can actually be dodged. Wow and people wonder why I used to HATE using the rockets i'm getting decent at them but i still use them for humour purposes or if i'm bored. Overall I give 10/10 for anyone that puts up with all the crap they get from other players for using the weapon and also for all the crap the actually weapon puts them through.
Oh and one more thing i have a harder time aiming with a shotgun then with a smgs and mgs because only the first instant counts with the shotgun and not the other 2 weapons.
Pistols rock in the normal game use them one day in a server with 10+ people using every type of weapon and try to kill a few that's one of the funnest things to do.
Before anyone complains yes I know mgs and smgs have the same ups and downs balance as every other weapon but for me they are the weapon that i get the most kills with and sniper rifle also at times depending on the level. I would have to say that's probably because I've used them more than any other weapon. I know someone that has used the rocket %90+ of the time and he rocks with it gets more kills then most people I know and rarely blows himself up because, well i'm not telling you his secret.
Anyways I hope this will settle the whining I hear all the time when some fool picks up a rocket in the .pZ server because it always gets me going and i die quickly those few rounds that I type at the guy that's whining just because the weapon killed him though he doesn't notice the fact that he was the one with the lesser brains for going into tight spaces where a shotgun can eat him alive or he doesn't see the fact that the noob killed himself and neutralizes the kill more or less.
Alright i'm done see you kids later and remember that they made this game balanced so you can stop complaining that a certain weapon is overpowered because you just died to it.
PS - did you know you can get under the omaha level like in destroyed village?

All weapons have their place. Each on is better at certain maps than another. Use them all or stick to one. Whatever you want! It's a game. Have FUN playing it!
I get killed by shotguns more than any other weapon but it's usually because I rush forward all the time. Really, it's my fault then. I should be more careful. If you see a shotty coming before he sees you, he should lose!
Rockets? No biggie. I hate using them because I die more than I kill others. However, I have no problem playing against them. It's part of the game so get over it. It's fair to use because it's part of the darn game. Stop crying and start thinking and you will take them out!

Everyone complains about every weapon. Overall, I really think they are fairly balanced and all can be used effectively against any other weapon if used correctly.
