Pandora is dead

I was surfing some German MOHAA websites and I came across this posted from the makers of Pandora.............Sad news:

Nun haben wohl einige Zeitgenossen ihr Ziel erreicht: KRK stellt die Entwicklung von Pandora ein. Folgendes kann man auf der Hompage von KRK lesen:

Wir haben uns entschlossen das Projekt Pandora einzustellen.
Wir sind Gamer, wurden und werden nicht bezahlt; sind deshalb auch keinem etwas schuldig.
Also seit so nett und seht von Rückfragen ab.
Dank an die, die Retaliation und Pandora begleitet und unterstützt haben.

Someone on their forums responded with this comment:

Wie geht es jetzt wohl mit Community weiter da das bisher einzig wirksame Anticheat Tool nicht mehr weiternetwickelt wird ? Ändern die Jungs von KRK doch noch einmal ihre Meinung ? Die nächsten Tage und Wochen dürften interessant werden...

I translated it into English as follows:

"Hello Guys,
We decided to give up the Pandora project.
We are gamer, we havent been and we will not be paid, that means we don't owe anything to anybody.
Please be so kind and stop requesting.
thanks to the people who supported retaliation and Pandora."


"How is it going to go on with a community now that they stopped the development of the only effective anti-cheat tool? Are the guys from KRK going to change their mind again?

The next days and weeks will become interesting.........."



I read the forums often from the makers of Pandora so I will check back often and post any new news. I hope a public bypass of the newest version of Pandora is not released, because this will be the end of good clean ladders.

I highly doubt that by scrapping pandora it will end all clean ladders... There are plenty of other anti-cheat tools and programs such as delator that work almost as well, yet they keep the game fun. If pandora goes down, someone else will come out with something else. Personally I don't even enjoy the game as much while pandora is running since you can't use blood mods, sound mods, etc. I don't think that this is such a bad thing...

Don't worry. There are plenty more anticheats coming out. Server/Matchwatch is already out. DMW Scanner 2 is comming (client/server). Gotcha! is coming also.

Since they are being made by English people..the support will be better and hopefully the tool will be better than pandora.

BT where u get the info on this shiz? from people or sites or wha?
