TWL Cheating Policy & Disputes

This is to clarify several issues on what constitutes a Dispute and the outcomes of each.

TWL Rules:

Originally posted by: TWL MOH:AA Rules
It is the responsibility of the disputing party to demonstrate a first-pass case with evidence on their part. Submitting evidence to the appropriate ladder admin immediately after filing the dispute is recommended. Failure to submit a demo, server logs, a screenshot, or some piece of compelling data outside of the original complaint, or a working link to any of the above within 24 hours will result in summary dismissal of the dispute and loss of ladder rungs.

This means you MUST give more of an explanation as to what you are disputing. Not just "he got too many kills, he played fishy." That will be dismissed as a dispute without evidence or explanation.

If a player gets triggered by UAC but does NOT play in the match
  • The player will be suspended/banned accordingly.
  • The match outcome will stand as is. The player did not play and had no bearing on the match.

  • Teams that continually file frivolous disputes without evidence may be punished for doing so.

Only file 1 dispute form, multiple dispute filings for the same match clutter our system and make our jobs much harder.

If you have questions please post them here.
Any player that brings up personal attacks, current open disputes, or their teams complaints about other teams or players will receive an IMMEDIATE 1 Week Forum Ban. No exceptions.

F.Y.I., I'm playing a match tonight and I don't plan on fixing shit. It's not my fucking problem that program is a piece of shit. It should work out of box. No assembly required. That being said, when my screens come out black I don't give a shit go ahead and ban me for having 2 kills on axis. No thanks in advance, your friendly neighborhood chode.

..and now I'm going to take this opportunity to spam my youtube channel:

Use Revo's fix... So easy wtf is the problem?
Did I mention that at all in my above post?

We have never said we would do any such thing. Persistently doesn't mean several matches. Also if you don't want to play by our rules then don't play at all.

The community is running the game, so if you dont follow the community's request then the league is gonna fail again like it did couple years ago.

    Just sayin.
Explain more on what you are "just sayin", I might not be completely comprehending.

It means Sean that if you continue to set rules that are to the disapproval of the people then most likely we will lose interest in the game. To some degree TWL addresses the players opinion, what with founder/captain votes pertaining to the topics in debate. But it would appear after all the squabbling and protest, we still find TWL going in a direction that the public clearly doesn't want. I know you can't make everyone happy, but you could at least put it to a vote and squash it before the Monarchy rule of TWL kills off MoH:AA, again.

    TL;DR version

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAYL5H46QnQ

Understood but I believe I have taken a large amount of input from the teams, that being said there is a standard format and rules setup that we use at TWL for all games.

That is what my first post was about. Disputes are to be filed, evidence supplied, and ruled on in a certain way.

In regards, to UAC and screenshots you all need to understand that screenshots are only one of a huge list of tools our AC Department has access to through the program. It is not the most important thing like you all try to make it out to be.

Let me explain to you why screenshots are of the foremost of priorities for MOHAA players.

UAC, the anticheat which TWL seemingly blindly remains employed is entirely and completely useless for MOHAA. True, even clean screenshots now don't hold as much of a testament for the legitimacy of players who get them, as bypassing UAC's screenshot method is clearly documented on virtually every hacking forum on the internet. However, it's slightly comforting to see the screen of the person who you suspect, even if the screen was generated in the most infantile of ways.

I do agree with others and will say that yourself and your colleagues seem to be making a deliberate effort to sabotage MOHAA in TWL. There absolutely needs to be a change in the anti-cheat used. UAC should not be used for any game, least of all MOHAA. MOHAA will never be competitive with an anti-cheat that is currently bypassed by more people than you can count with your fingers and toes.

I completely understand UAC is convenient for you (people only use UAC for its convenience), but you need to realize you are trading convenience for exploitation, and this goes not only for MOHAA but for every game. For other games, I don't know if you have much of a choice besides UAC; however, for MOHAA there is another option.

The funny thing is UAC isn't even more convenient than MOHAAC. MOHAAC automatically records demos (so way fewer disputes because someone 'forgot' to record) and doesn't require any sort of fix to run (so even fewer disputes as all players should be able to run the program in the same manner- with clear screenshots). The admins are simply out of touch if they actually believe that UAC is a better program for MOHAA.

    Ops!
    OoPs
MOHAAC just released an awesome update. now it will automatically fix infractions and a lot of other stuff. there is no excuse not to use it.
Is there any reason why teams can't agree to use MOHAAC alongside the required UAC? Showing MOHAAC has the ability to handle a heavy load on match nights would only reinforce your point.

Also, we have to be thinking about the future. Does MOHAAC have the structure in place should a new version of the game take off. Can it handle several thousand players a night and store several million screen shots like UAC can?

These are critical issues that have to be considered before any program can be approved.

All I need is for teams to post their MOHAAC Match ID into match comms. Remember this test would be alongside UAC as UAC is required at this time without exception.

I have a decent machine, and I have used MOHAAC and UAC together, but I wouldn't strongly recommend it for people using outdated hardware.
Your open mind toward MOHAAC is greatly appreciated, Blues. However, two things to note.

    1. A new version of MOHAA taking off? This game hasn't had an update since 2002. That'll never happen, so I wouldn't put that among your main hesitations regarding MOHAAC.

    2. I've never run both anticheats simultaneously, so I can't attest as to whether or not they would run together without issue. However, I do know that regular screenshots from both programs occurring simultaneously would certainly lag some players.

Thus, I still think only using MOHAAC would be the preferred way to go about this, but as I said, thank you for having an open mind.

Watch him bring up 1.12 Patch.. lmfao
    1.12 patch failed hard.

And I think the most vocal part of the forums wants Mohaac while the rest of us are happy with UAC.

it will probably fail like every other medal of honor EA GAMES tried after mohaa, but remember MOHAAC = Medal of Honor Allied Assault Anticheat, so in the case that a new and worth-while medal of honor comes out (highly unlikely), then it will have PB... i dont see why thats really relevant here, as thats a completely different game and it shouldnt be surprising that a new anticheat will be needed for it (or we need to wait for mohaac developer to support it)

uac = universal anti cheat. its not game specific, which is why its so easily exploited

@revo, i think another way to phrase your statement is "I think the more aware part of the community wants Mohaac and the rest of us are happy with UAC". I say that because the only logical reason I can think of for being happy using UAC is that you are not aware of how awful it is in preventing cheats

boasting about want to use an anti cheat that doesnt prevent cheats is not what most people would refer to as a good thing

but anyway, happy to see MOHAAC used in some way. now watch people who bypass uac not want to play anymore.
Nobody wants a new Moh, we want the good old fun mohaa to stay alive.
