A Question and Suggestion on League Rules

I am happy that you are creating a invite sort of league for RB TDM and i hope BHC can participate. Can we increase the rules to help provide more security from the cheaters?? I mean we all know the most common one right?? Chameleon skins and forcing the allied pilot and german scientist.......well there is a new one.....you can now download version 2 that allows the allied airborne and german winter_2 to provide the same effect.

I abhoar cheating.....there is so much out there now it makes me sick......i know its impossible to police it all.....but i think the addition of the new forced Screenshot program that is now required in our MOHoil league combined with allowing servers to run the dogtag program that doesnt allow forced models would go a long way. I run both on our server.....today i turned off Delator and autokick before i left the house because my guys have a 2 man match tonight......of course i forgot to remove dogtags and the opposing team is upset because they cant force their models.......i pointed out from console that one of them had the allied airborne and german winter_2 skins on......chameleon 2 classics.....doesnt mean that he had them.....but you have to wonder dont ya. Perhaps i was a little blunt but i think its time to be blunt......i blatantly challenged them to a clean game with no forced models as opposed to me shutting down the server and removing it and starting over and they accepted.....grudgingly.......so perhaps i was wrong about them and perhaps not....we shall see as that match is in progress.
My point is if you require the league to run that forced SS program and give rcon to both team captains and allow EACH captain to force 2 screenshots unannounced at a time of their choosing during the match and then require say 2 of each team members selected at random by the opposing captain to send those screenshots in to a league admin RAW and unedited.....then the people runnign chameleons are out of business and those with wallhacks that can be toggled better be real careful.....because you never know when that SS is coming.
Is it foolproof.......hell no.....will it help eliminate cheaters and maybe curb them to begin with?? ABSOLUTELY!!!

I dont force models....never have....whether it be to see the white coat of the german winter guys or scientist....or for the sissies with the chameleon skins......so why have a problem with the no forced models mod?? PLAY THE GAME CLEAN......as it was meant to be played......camoflauge is part of the game.....so live with it and win or lose fair.

Im done ranting......just some food for thought......if we wanna have a cheat free league or something close to that then we have to work at it. The MOHoil league we are in right now is as close to that as youll ever see.....and im sure its not perfect....but its pretty close.

That is all.
There are a variety of things that I will be implementing for this League.

I think BHC's idea is a great one and hopefully it will put an end to the cheating on this ladder or at least make the players who cheat slim to none.

I completely agree...Forced screenshots by an observer would be better than nothing...Servers running no forced models is another good idea....
Actually I'm going to designate a specific skin for Allies and Axis

Er, maybe you people havent realized yet, but there is a bypass for the dogtagz option to disallow forced models. So by running this, you are putting clean players at an even greater disadvantage, because now not only can clean players not force models, but the cheaters can force models and force cheat skins.

Forced screen shots by an observer (admin observer) would be great. Thats the only way it would work. In no way, shape, or form would i accept a member of one of the clans in the match forcing the screen shots. Dont think i need to explain why, its pretty self explanitory. The screen shots should be demanded by the admin or admins present within 5-10 minutes of match ending. If not recieved, the clan unable to send there screen shots gets a automatic forfeit. It doesnt take long to send a screen shot through msn/aol/icq/mirc. (cant do it with email, because most hotmail users cannot send screen shots due to the size of .tga files)

Pandora, Delator 2, or both programs should be running during League matches. This will keep people from using any kind of mods, mods in which could be hiding cheats/hacks.

Either one or two things have to be down with servers. One, each clan gets to use there own server for one half of the match. Two, if number one is not the case, then there should be a max ping difference set. On many occations we ([IO]) have been told by multiple admins that its 70, so i am guessing thats what it should be set to as a rule. Or maybe, there is a way that TWL can provide the servers for matches (I know, this is a big long shot). But in doing this, niether team could complain about a unfair server, so on and so forth.

IMO, it should be 20 minute rounds, because 30 is just to long, and if a match is a blow out, it becomes boring and drawn out.

Once a match is underway, i believe that niether team should be allowed to have people join. If you start a match with 5 people playing, you stay playing with 5 people playing until the first half of the match is complete, and if its the second half, then your stuck with 5 people playing until the end of the map. No crap where people join during the middle of a match. If someone times out during a match, too bad, theres no real way to tell wether or not its a legit time out, so the team that loses the player should be forced to play a man down until the first half of the match is over. If its the second half of the match, sorry, your shit out of luck. (wrote this assuming 6v6 format, forgeting its 7v7 )

I'll comment on other rules that should or shouldnt be set to this League as the League progresses.

Hm, They got all the skins hacked to chameleons by now probably...so u dont have to force models to see everyone as a chameleon, and if you force a designated skin same thing
hey kirbster.. let me know when the sequel to your book comes out
There is a new chameleon skin mod out there now that is actually just a .pk3 and it effects all of your skins making 2 skins of each model the first looking stock "allied_SAS" or "allied_Pilot" these are the cheat skins so they look stock. then it creates another that looks like "allied_SAS_2" and "allied_Pilot_2" and these are the stock skins so they look like cheats. I believe this is so that when the cheater is accused of cheating he can switch to "stock skins" and still cheat. so running unforced models does no good as it effects every skin the cheater has including the non-stock skins and he has to have all the stock skins.

Screeny's by an admin or the team captains is the only way to stop the cheating. (and I have no prob w/ the other clan taking them as long as I am taking some to. you know something like 2 each. so admins don't have to be at every match.)

Good luck w/ the new League.
well super, i say my next novel will be comming out, hmmmmmmmm, sometime next fall.
Couple things.....yes i know even more Chameleons are out and yes i do know that there is a new cheat to bypass dogtags.....however.....im not sure all that many people are up to speed on that yet.....obviously the clan we played last night was not. Irregardless you are right......there will be new and improved things to overcome the anti-cheats. I like the idea of ONE specific skin......i know not all of em have been hacked into yet.

Also Kirby you should re-read my post.......the reason its ok for each clan to force a SS is because of your concern. If only say ONE team were able to do it,....then they could tell their team WHEN they were doing it......if both theams get the chance to force a couple then that makes it fair. However your idea is good too....have the admin come in and do it....but then people would know the timeframe when it would happen.......the only way that works is if you have an admin there for the entire match. Thats what we do in MOHoil league but this league is too big for that and i dont think theres enough admins with time for that.
My way is easier because each team gets to force say 2 or 3 so for those 2 or 3 the opposing team does NOT know they are coming.
I am interested in this Pandora thing as i know nothing about it......we run Delator 2.0 but I havent tried MOHAACI or Pandora but have heard of them both.....can anyone shed some light?
Thanks all.
It won't matter if they are hacked. Each team will be required to use a specfic set of skins. This way everyone will have the same skins in the match, it will be obvious when a screen shot is taken, there won't be a disadvantage for allies being in white, forced skins or not will be irrelavent and the people with slow machines who can't afford to run alot of textures won't be affected by multiple skins.
