Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and TeamWarfare

Over the course of the last few weeks there has been alot of discussion among the MoH staff and with Senior Staff of TeamWarfare. Given that this game is no longer being supported by EA and that cheating is rampant it has been decided that we will be closing the Medal of Honor: Allied Assault ladders. Given that there is no way to police the cheating effectively and virutally every match played ends up in some sort of dispute, I feel this is the only viable solution. The last day of match play for Allied Assault will be February 28th. On this day all the ladders will be locked and any pending matches canceled.

With that said, we will continue to proceed with the Medal of Honor: SpearHead ladders and encourage any teams currently playing on the Allied Assault ladders to migrate over. Since SpearHead is still being supported by EA, the MoH Staff feels that it can more effectively support the SpearHead community in its gaming needs.

our clan just got on the ladder. my first time on one, and its gone? that sucks. why not allow anticheat tools, even if they arent that working well

I don't agree to this. Unfortunately I can't change the minds of TWL or their staff, but I do know that there are other options than this. This decision is wrong, and hopefully TWL can realize that, but again, only the voice of the players might change their minds. I feel that Allied Assault is the superior product over Spearhead, even though the cheating problem is bad. I honestly believe there are less people cheating out there than anyone believes. I think the thought that everyone could be cheating is what really stokes the fire. Again, speak up and tell TWL not to do this. Maybe they will change their mind.

this post damn near knocked the wind out of me, i really got nothin to say......CEPT, that you miserable cheatin fucks should go jump off a cliff.

I know the amount of disputes and accusations the twl admins get flooded with are probably over whelming though, and theyd probably need a staff of about 100 to handle it all.

TWL MOHAA can be saved, that guy Murc...wutever his name was had good ideas, just have harsh penalties...

I like the way TWL does things. I am prolly the first one to tell you this in this thread. No doubt pple will try to brown nose TWL now.

I said it first, cuz I mean it....our actions towards TWL speak for themselves....

WoW, what a shock. You have just shattered what most of us have trying to accomplish in the past yr. Im finally satisfied with my team. I dont care about the rampant cheating. There is a solution. For any top 5 ranks competeing YOU SHOULD HAVE AN ADMIN SPECING. ALSO HAVE INSTA SS. You should not put up with the bullshit. If u have reason for cheating kick. You do have some ways to prevent this, but u are too lazy to do it. If this earns me a forum ban then go for it. I think i speak for the community when i say that the admins did jack shit as far as efforts are concerned to stop cheating!

I dont even know what to say...I dont have any logical arguements against this....no witty comments...nothing....

As Jenna stated we have been on here for almost a year....It will be One Year and Four Days on the day you schedule to close it.... I have been with the team for a bit over half of that....

TWL is by far the best ladder out of them all...(OIL is right up there but that is a league...not the same...)

For those couple whiners or cheaters, and the screenshot fakers, and the mpc folks, and all the COMPLAINING and WHINING about teams CHEATING, ARE YOU HAPPY NOW? Youve RUINED a perfectly fine ladder to the point where is going to BE LOCKED!!!!

Up until now i have had good things to say about TWL. Now i realize that the staff is too ... i dont know...lazy?...to make a real effort to keep this thing going. Instead of taking the easy way out, why not bring in some admins that play or even care about the game , which these obviously do not , and try to make it work. Programs are being created that work it seems to me (i.e. pandora) and with a little effort there is no reason this can't be solved. But nevermind , go play your gay-ass bf1942 and don't look back.I hope the door don't hit ya in the ass.Plenty of other ladders out there - guess i will find one that gives a shit. I have had the pleasure of holding #1 in all 4 MOHAA standard gametypes OBJ,TDM,RB,2man. Only clan to do so in TWL. So sad to see you go TWL(MoHAA) you have provided many great memories and Im sure alot more now that the SH ladder will double or triple in amount of teams. There is no solution I guess.

Well, I agree with them. These admins have already put up with enough bs because of all the cheating. They have dedicated more time than you guys have and you guys area ll heart broken. Don't you think they are pissed too??? They dedicated a lot more time than you guys did to this ladder and all they get is your bs and whinning and you just want them to stay and take more of your guys' bs.

When was this idea of dropping the ladders first introduced? How much debating was involved??? I hope it was not a one day thing..

EcM cheaters never held a #1. eCm held 2 or 3 RB (realism) TDM (standard) 2man (standard) not sure of the 2man one though.

Hey guys...Guess what TWL has been here providing us with a service. Albeit, a unfruitful service. Although it's sad to see a ladder that caused people so much happiness and so much grief go, I can perfectly understand where the admins are coming from. There's a point where providing a service causes way too many headaches than what it's worth. Again, sucks to see this ladder close to only migrate the same problems over to the SH...but I can't really blame the admins.

Sounds more like a staff oriented thing rather than a community oriented thing. I thing this is rediculous. Why not let teams choose on anticheats? Have an overall community vote or something. *HFE* quit the OGL because we were on too many ladders and we were more comfortable. Well, if this ladder is going down, here is a new ladder coming out that will have anti-cheats; http://www.gzhq.net (go to arena). If the admins are exhausted, why not get MORE admins?, get more observers and more anticheats? You just lost a big community and I doubt most of the current clans will migrate to SH (more likely migrate to another league such OGL, CAL, SG, etc).


I'm glad to say *HFE* got to #1 on both MOHAA ladders (Obj by a lame forfeit).
