AA PG MoTW/Winter League Review by Que Pasa
The very last week of the AA PG Winter League regular phase is just behind us! Week 8 matches were played on a map named Harbor Assault, which hasn't been played competitively so far in any league. This attack-attack map with two objectives creates a lot of variable tactics, and therefore makes matches very interesting to watch. In order to win a round on this map, a team has to simply hold more objectives than the opponents until the end of the round. If both teams have one objective, the round would end up in a tie.
More than 40 people watched the last MoTW #8, casted by James Carter. The clash between Delete Esport and In Articulo Mortis made us expect a great show. Before this match, both teams had a chance to jump into the playoffs while winning the match; and as a result eliminating the other team. If the match ended up in a draw, both teams would be eliminated! That's why we've seen lots of very close fights and impressive personal skills from players on both teams.
The match started with two quick rounds in favor of In Articulo Mortis, but Delete Esport quickly learned from their mistakes and took the lead, taking four rounds in a row! However, iam. came back from the score 5:7 in favor of Delete, to lead 9:7 in the decisive stage of the match. When the scoreboard showed us 9:9, anything and everything could happen including both teams out of the playoffs. Eventually iam. won 11:9 taking the last round, which became a one on one situation. I wish to watch more of such exhilarating matches in the future, although that might not be good for my health!
Some teams had to say goodbye to the Winter League together with Delete Esports. I hope that everyone had lots of fun during this event and will join any other competition created by TWL AA: PG staff in the near future. Thank you all for your time spent here during the eight weeks of the regular season! Those teams, which made it to the playoffs good luck in the Seeding Tourney, which will happen tonight, and of course, the playoff stage.
This evening a usual MoTW cast won't happen but feel free to join Philippovich's twich.tv channel to see some matches from the TWL EU Seeding Tourney. All info about the EU and NA playoff seeding tournament can be found here: http://teamwarfare.com/forums/showthread.asp?forumid=802&threadid=492484
See you all on stream, starting at 9 PM CET! Watch the action here: http://www.twitch.tv/Philippovich
