MoH 2010!
TeamWarfare League will be hosting competition based on player interest. Mongeau will be heading up this project and he is hoping to give the MoH community the best possible experience. We depend on community input for this.

We are posting this now so we might start building the community. We at TWL will need your help. I know a lot depends on game release but we welcome any discussion on the information currently available to us. A lot of work goes into starting a new game at TWL and we want to be as ready as possible come 10/12/10.

We have a TWL's MoH forum and #twl_moh on Gamesurge. Please join us and let us know what you think!

It will be like BC2. No demos, no good way to catch cheaters etc, but an ok game at the end of the day. I don't think it will be a competition worthy title but I'm sure some of the bigger MOH fans will disagree.

Myself and my team will be playing, but likely not competitively without some sort of demo recording etc. Another console port that just isn't quite up to competition standards.
I completely disagree, I think it would be great for TDM based competition at the very least..If not more in the future, but definately TDM for now..
there will be no limitations to competition here at TWL we will provide what the community can support.

For the nay sayers there are bfbc2 competitions here at TWL. Also we managed to make CoD MW2 work without demorec built in. Where there's a will there's a way. It ultimately comes down to the community.

let's git`r done

Our standards, frankly, need to get dropped. Seeing as how console ports are more and more turning into the norm. We need to find new solutions for the same hack catching, demo recording problems that have plagued us in the last few titles.

The game is basically good. No blatantly retarded weapon unlocks (though arguements could be made against what it does offer). If people give it half a chance before writing it off over the problems, it could survive.

As for the gametype, its a good change from SD and conquest-ish play. The set of things to accomplish with the team doing it quicker is fun. I know it's been done, but I like it.
I'm aware that there are BFBC2 people competing at twl, in fact I"m one of them. In saying that I know there have been several teams banned recently for cheating (proof or not we can't discuss) and I also know there are a number of teams at the tops of the ladders with undefeated records that I"ve never heard of. Not saying I know every team on every ladder obviously, but every game for the last 5 years has always had the same 20 teams at the top, now all the sudden we have a bunch of new ones? Come on guys BC2 is right full of cheaters but no-one will admit it yet. MOH will be no different.

I think it will end up like rush in BC2, everyone pubs it no-one competes it. The game mode is just far too linear to make for a good 'match'.

TDM could be fun though, for some.
Disturbed this post was way off topic and you're trolling.

I completely agree, if everyone takes some time to look at BC2 ladders there are 111 teams on one and like 63 on another, and it is working just fine, same with MW2 and still the same with CoD4..I think its a great idea to expand to MOH and all of us at H4H would love to see it happen..
I think this would be a nice addition to TWL. Personally, I can't wait for the game to come out. I'll have to talk to my team to see if they want to finally try competing in other games instead of just CSS. =P
I really don't see this gametype being too linear for good match play. Wolfenstein:ET had this set up for stopwatch and they still have competition for this game, albeit mostly Euro leagues and tournaments, and that game is pushing 8 years old. I'd even venture to point out that ET: Quake Wars, though it was much more short lived, used the stopwatch/linear gameplay format. It's a well used and known gametype. It's gonna come down to whether the strong competition teams latch onto it or not. You may be right that teams pass it by, but hopefully its not from lack of trying. I find it a blast.

TDM, though it is fun in ladder format, really hasn't grabbed
I've always been a TDM'er and want this game to work out.

/me thinks possitive thoughts
I say just post the ladders on what good gametypes come out with the game, weed out the ones who dont get alot of response and keep the ones that have enough teams, and for the people who are complaining that it won't work, to be honest you don't have to join it you could always play another game on another ladder or league
the way it will pan out is I will put up some basic ladders to start. As the community grows and requests different ladders they will be created but the community will have to fill them to get them started, 10 is usually the min for ladders. Leagues will be made too but the min is 20 and they won't start till ladders are up and running well.
thats great news, I will keep checking on updates on what you guys decide..

What teams? You don't know what you talking about. All the top teams are well known.

After playing the demo (A LOT) I think one good thing about this game is it is very simple. Right out of the box it is better for comp than BC2 imho. It seems you won't need to mod/remove much to make it work for comp. None of the weapons seemed OP, and even the point streak rewards had pretty minimal splash damage. Demo recording will be an issue, but I assume it will have pb at least. Now of course things might change in the full version, and there might be some OP stuff, but as far as the demo went, I didn't notice anything way out of balance.

Well you made MW2 work because WEgame, Fraps, or Xfire records the game play. With BFBC2... its a cheaters paradise game... See my threads in that section..

As BFBC2 there were cheats on the day of release, just like MW2. There will also be cheats available with MOH as well.. You're drumming up support for a game that doesn't support any type of recording and saying that you guys (twl) will do what the community can support, but the community has done ask for there to be something in terms of an anti-cheat with AT LEAST X-ray for BFBC2..
but hell.. what do I know, I'm just some noob! You guys have a nice day now, ya hear?
To be honest I'm looking forward to MOH I can't see it replacing cod4 as the dominant game for competitive gaming but It would be cool to play a TDM game type. Only time will tell if it will take off.
Speagles, a community member, is currently working on developing an anti-cheat. If he can get it tested and working well we might have an option for some of these non-comp friendly games. He has it set up for BC2 now, so I'm sure it would work for MOH.

WareZ all I have to say is no one is making you play or compete in MOH..To be honest TWL is not the ones who are putting out the game, they are just supporting it for the community, if you want to complain alot to someone complain to DICE..

There are always cheaters in all games. We will do the best we can and use the community's advice. XRAY we used in mw2 it didn't catch anybody that I'm aware of (could be wrong) but it didn't work with xfire video rec. We decided recordings we're more important and dropped xray. Screen shots will still be a part of competition, this is all stuff that we as a community will work on in the very near future.

Please if you have questions, comments or just want to BS about MoH use the general discussion forum. /forums/forumdisplay.asp?forumid=695
I cant wait. I have my team standing by ready for this to hit.
Although the game lacks essential features such as demos, I dont think that should discourage competition. I think this game has a good following and it will be well received by the community. Myself and a team are certainly interested in competing in this game more so than Black Ops.
If anti cheats can be worked out I would love to compete in this game

i would like to see a TDM approach for MOH 2010. It would be a nice change from all of the other fPS's out there. I just hope that it wont be hard to catch cheaters... i hate cheaters!
