I think its lame because i cant chat with my friends while its running.

The random shots is the only way to stop ppl from toggling during a match, and if not stop them from doing it gives a small chance of catching them. I hate it that some ppl have problems running it and other things.. but it gives a small window where a hacker might get caught if he toggles his cheats when its taking a shot.. very slim but worth it. I hate that its needed but there are individuals out there who have some God complex and want to ruin your gaming experience to make themselves feel better for winning a GAME.. WTG to those losers! So yes xray gaming is DEFINITELY needed.

I like hoe our whole team just had to forfeit cause NONE of us could logg in at match time.... Which is 20 times worse than when ACS would update before a match in the good ol' days of gaming.

I agree that some Anti-cheat system is needed but when an entire team cant get this program to work and forfeit a match because of it, then it is no longer useful.

By preventing legitimate players from being able to play under the defense that "we might catch a few hackers" is the same type of defense that companies use to justify ever more restrictive DRM methods, and the only people they end up punishing are the legitimate people.

Please vote against XRAY so that TWL can find something more reliable that can be logged into so that matches can be played with a minimum of annoyance to players

i agree that some type of anti-cheat but not one that wont let players play. my vote is with the NO's

I havnt been in a match to use it yet since I went on vacation. As far as logging in and stuff, I just dont know if people are retarded or not ?? After following the simple post on the TWL site I had this up and running and logged in with no issues in less than 10minutes. I just wish the xray ids they have wernt 50digits long lol

oh its installed just fine... in fact 15 after we were forced to forfeit it worked just fine again and we could logg in.

It's pretty terrible. So many people can NOT login. And it only takes FOUR-FIVE screen shots over a 1 hour match period.

If you can GREATLY increase the rate of screen shots per a match then keep it. If not then I think it's pretty useless.

1 screen shot every 15 minutes. Are you really going to catch someone toggling like that?

Dont have a problem with it, I think its about time because I feel TWL has been abused by cheaters for a long time

it sucks so i uninstalled it it wasnt working properly

I think its a step in the right direction. For the ones that say they cant login and such you must be retarded EVERYONE that is on my twl team had that up and running in under 10 min and everything has been fine. Other than not being able to chat with friends but only 1 of our clan mates have had that problem.

I agree it should be upped by how many screens are taken it takes to few to catch a cheater. But other than that no complaints

I have had the same problems with communicating with my team while X-Ray is up same with my Teamates also some login issues this Anti Cheat has a few bugs it needs to work out before I would consider having everyone use it. Maybe is we can find a similar Anti Cheat that has been very successful in ESEA which does not interfere with communication and such it might be a step in a better direction.

Omega, your team had the choice to keep trying to log in and you were also asked to have your team mates upload 20 something missing SS. You didn't have to forfeit the match. you chose too. Who wouldn't rather play a match? You could have taken as much time as you needed. To come on here and cry like you were forced into something is just BS. Our guys kept trying to log in same as you could have. Guess what? They got logged in. You also had a team mate that didn't know that he couldn't start xray with CSS running. So that meant he was gonna play the match without it, until we told him to log into xray.

i 2nd BBC i was the one talking to the members of your team, trying to get them in to the xray and upload there missing SS its sad that yall cant figure it out it even have a remember my login option...try it some time

I love how there are so many people complaining about this program, but you go and look into those people and many of them have obviously gotten the program to work just fine. However, they can't seem to figure out how to upload their screenshots. Yeah, xray won't take screenshots if you can't login, try rephrasing your arguement for those of you that have run it and are missing 10-30 screenshots.

I want to know when we're going to see something actually done about cheaters instead of what's being done to catch them. Currently there is a rant sitting out there on my ladder with a demo clearly showing an aimbot and wall hack and as far as I can see, the admins haven't done squat about it. Beyond that, there are all of these people trying to get away with not uploading screenshots. "oh but i ran it during the match"... give me a break, upload your screenshots. I'd like to see suspensions for people that couldn't follow the rules, even if xray isn't permanently adopted. If you couldn't follow the rules during a 1 month trial, i doubt you can follow the rest of the league rules. A serious cleaning needs to be done of the immature, lazy, and devious people on these ladders.

This league is in ultra need of the AC, i love the idea

but 1. the ac fails many times
2. whats the point of the ac if when u dispute and they were not running it, its ok because match was live, stupidest thing ive every heard

Personally I haven't had any problems with xray, I can chat and login with no issues. I think people that are having issues need to read the post on how to do it a couple more times. I will admit it does have some things that could be smoothed out like the time frame for SS and people having chat issues.

I just think that its stupid that we have to prepare our selfs so much. I mean i liked it when i just had to "open up steam" then "double click counterstrike" go into the server where i had the match and play.

I don't know why everyone is complaining about xray. I never had a problem with it and just about everyone in my clan hasn't had a problem. That's not to say there are no flaws in xray. It certainly doesn't take enough screen shots and in order for it to be something worth while it certainly should be taking more SS than it does, but it is a step in the right direction and I applaud TWL for trying to cut down on the cheaters.

For the ones that are having problems logging in and such do us a favor and uninstall. If you cant simply log into a program before you start up CS:S and hit 1 button to upload your shots after you done with a match you clearly need help.

Why are you complaining VTEC? Your team doesn't use it anyways

i would have to say no. Due to the fact that if you really want to catch a hacker... just get the demo. Everyone should already be taking numereous amounts of screenshots throughout the match regardless of xray. the only way i can see it actually proving usefull... is if the program identifies a problem in game, such as a hacker, then that would be an appropriate time to take a picture. However, i dont think it can recognise quick toggles and subtle distinctions of hacks. which would prove useless and you would be needing the demo for review anyway.

wow um... you don't really understand how it works do you?
demos are based on client side commands to the server and recieved by the server and watching someone else's demo just attempts to replicate these commands based on YOUR settings, not THEIRS.

xray grabs screenshots of the user's machine to see what they see regardless of the game.

demo will NOT catch wall hackers with any degree of certainty other than watching them stare at a wall.

Since you barely have 5 people on each of your teams that have xray setup, i can see why you would be quick to vote "no".


By the way,
Since I talk big in favor of xray and the enforcement of rules... Within 3 days of xray being voted to stay, anyone registered to one of my teams that has not properly setup xray or uploaded all screenshots will be proptly removed from our team.

I urge other team founders to follow my example when the time comes.

i like the idea of using an AC, but xray isnt cut out for this. it fucks with ur game, taking the amount of screen shots that it does is basicly pointless, yes it might catch 1 out of 10000 people doing something "suspicious" but guess what, if any of them 10000 players are good they will all eventually get a SS of something someone finds "suspicious"

i see alot better results from pub servers using KAC, it doesnt fuck with the players, its server side, and if someone is hacking, it bans them. No it will not catch every cheat out there, but it still works better the xray. and there never will be a AC that will catch everything.

we need an AC yes, but as for xray i say no.

Forgot to mention, the use of xray as a temp, until a better one is made/found would be fine imo
