Invite Finals

The championship match is here and we see two of the top teams in America's Army set to compete for the title. Just Cause Project is facing instruments of god for their fourth meeting of the finals matches. In their previous three battles, jCp emerged victorious after some very well-fought matches. The determining factor is the map selection and each team's preparation for their encounters. Which team will claim the Kawasaki Crown?

Let's take a look at the two finalists

Just Cause Project

- jCp rebounded from a late regular season loss to IceNine and pushed through to make it to the finals. After earning a bye for the first playoff round, jCp used their time to prepare themselves for their semi-finals match against i9. They fought hard to defeat i9, winning the first match on River Basin 6-4 (jCp's map choice). Then took the second match on Insurgent Camp 5-3 (i9's map choice). They now face familiar finals competitor iog for their fourth finals match-up.

- Coming off a bye the first week, iog defeated oR due to the team's inability to field enough valid players. They appear in the 6v6 invite finals for the second time, displaying their dominance in the AA competitive community. Only one other team (jCp) has enjoyed the success iog has had over the course of America's Army and its evolving gameplay. We will see if they still have what it takes to be Invite champions by overcoming their most defiant foe.

Semi-final Results

>

instruments of god > overRated 1-0
-rosters
iog - Herpes
oR - reaction, glez, swamp

  • iog 11 - 1 oR
    - Logs: Apparently there was some miscommunication between the two teams and oR was handed the loss due to not fielding enough rostered players.

Just Cause Project > IceNine 2-0
    -rosters
jCp - se^no mor, collins, crazy, stan, biz, RAF, judge
i9 - megalo, protagonist, abs0cold, newB, atog2, haunter, flik, solidus

  • jCp 6 - 4 i9
    - jCp chose River Basin as their map and it seemed i9 was prepared for it. Managing to take the needed round on assault jCp was able to overpower and outmanuever i9 in the final rounds on defense to take the match. jCp clinched the win by breaking through i9's defense in one crucial round and holding off all of i9's assaults up to the final round.

  • jCp 5 - 3 i9
    - i9 picked Insurgent Camp because they had beat jCp on it earlier in the season and thought they could repeat their success. jCp was able to break through i9's defence and in return held off i9's pushes on assault to deliver the final death blow and advance to the finals.

I polled the community with the question, "Who do you think is going to win and why?"

EGLN|AA|insane|sR: iog is arguably the better team, and I do not think they will suffer through yet another loss to jCp in a finals match. It's time for them to take home the gold.

noLoss|FlakeDaddy: jCp because they have stronger leadership and I believe that iog is going downhill

oR|epic: I think that iog will win because they are thirsty to get back on top. I was told also that jCp hasn't practiced much this season like they have done in the past.

ovk|screwtape|work: While IoG is the premier team in army and has always been "the team to beat," jCp has proven over the last few seasons that they really come to play in big games. This is anyones game, but for my prediction I have to go with 3 time defending champions jCp. Best of luck to both teams.

[160th]Silk|TWL: jCp has been hot for a while now, but iog has had a little resurgence lately. They were already arguably the best, but they seem to be more active lately. Iog

PizzaDelivery: I pick iog because I think they're going to prepare for this match more than they've ever prepared for a match before.

chronik: jCp because they will pick an outdoor map and have an excellent outdoor team and can also hold their own indoors

[Team-ki]Row|TWL: jCp will most likely take this match. In recent months, jCp has only seemed to grow stronger, while iog has faced some activity issues. Fielding 6 iog members capable of winning against 6 jCp members might be the hardest part for iog. Either way, I expect one heck of a match.

oneWAY|spellingbee: jcp cause iog has madd and hes bad

ian-: sf maps = iog wins, old school - can go both ways

iNNo|joe131: jcp because iog has madd and he thinks hes good

    War|Boom: iog... more experience

InS[mcnasty]: iog will win more rounds than jcp

    |12oz|rel: iog ..... just sick of jCp winning

Talon: iog wins cause we are friends

ubeenation: jCp because Nina is a ninja, stan is a beast, madd is only almost a beast, jon allen is bad though and because jCp is on fire

osiris: I think IoG is going to win because they will do whatever it takes no matter how gay.
