Holidays are Over

Holidays are gone and now we have got to get back to the harsh reality that is gaming . As if relaxing and dining was not hard enough, we all have to get back to work on practicing our tactics, drills and ideas. Others are going to work, writing articles, interviewing teams, and administrating the leagues.

I hope you all had a Happy New Year, but now its time to get back to competitive play and do what Teamwarfare does best. Are you ready for a year of competition not just under the Americas Army banner, but throughout Teamwarfare? Are you and your team ready to fight for your place on the podium as the champions? With every New Year there are new teams with new talents that prove themselves. After competing at the highest level they become household names and become respected throughout the Americas Army community. Are you and your teammates ready to be propelled to the center of the community?

What’s happening in the Leagues?

Well every one has had a break, and hopefully all the teams are refreshed and ready to get back into the realms of competitive play.

Looking at the tables below there are clear leaders, but things are likely to change as the weeks go by. In my view this has been one of the most exciting Leagues in a while, but we are only 2 thirds through. The best is yet to come and we all know what that is “The Final”.

Below are the League Tables after the first matches of 2006:

Alpha Division

Simplus

After recently changing their name from Frag Executors due to a lucrative sponsorship deal they have never looked back. I do not know if they all got super computers, but it definitely looks like they did from the way they perform in matches. After losing a Summer Series tournament the team has really proved themselves in the League this season.

We Ain't No clan

These guys have come straight from the Open Leagues last season into the major Invites, and with their league position it looks like they are performing well. They had a blip at the beginning of the League, but now their beginning to perform like team. Happy Belated Birthday ICE from all the Teamwarfare team.

Instruments of god. ™ Eu

IoG the gods of Americas Army on the US side decided to field a European team this season. After a slow start they began to perform like a unit and win matches, but unfortunately it was too late as Simplus began to run away with the Alpha Division.

Majestic Clan

It has been a bumpy season for Majestic Clans, but they have done well in their adventure with the big boys. They even did better than season veterans HFD, and 1st Polish. As their roster grows and their players talents grow the future may hold a championship for them.

1st.Polish Battalion

1st Polish Battalion is one of many polish teams in this Leagues even the current leaders of the Alpha division are polish. Why do the Polish like Americas Army? That is a question I might try answer soon, but for now I will focus on 1st PB’s League performance. 1st PB has not done as well as they had hoped, but they have not got the wooden spoon yet. As long as they continue to train and turn up for matches I am sure some performance changes will come.

!n$!d4Z

Insidaz were last seasons Open League Champions but this has not helped them in this season in the intense Invite League. I think they are too busy thinking about their web statistics and building a new website than winning the league at this stage, but I am sure they will not go out without a fight.

Beta Division

RankTeamPointsWinsLossesNo Shows 1.Dutch Special Forces 165102.Shadow Ops 16510 3.Third Rangers Battalion 134104.+NATO+ 102405.REUNITED^ 8150 6.High FiDelity AAO5050

Dutch Special Forces

Veterans when it comes to playing Americas Army at Teamwarfare with some of the most talented players the game has seen. Will they manage to win the Beta Division? Recent examination of their forum though looks like they are starting to fall for the World of War craft bug. Will this affect their performance?

Shadow Ops

The joint leaders of the Beta Division and with some of the best players on the EU scene everyone knows that their match against the Dutch Special Forces this week will cause a stir. I can assure everyone who reads this that I for one will be watching the match results fly in on IRC to see if my below predictions are correct.

Third Rangers Battalion

Third Ranger Battalion has been with the Americas Army community at Teamwarfare for some time now, and after a bit of controversy they have decided to change their name to 4 FUN. So in the future after this season is complete look out for 4 FUN on the AA scene.

+NATO+

NATO, now I know these guys love Americas Army, but they have had to recruit quite a bit on the European side last year and their unit is not as built as most other teams. These guys have also been having a lot of fun in Battlefield 2, but are sure that its not affecting their Americas Army performances.

REUNITED^

Reunited is another one of those eastern European Americas Army lovers , but they have done well for their first season in the Americas Army Invite League. For Reunited this is a great experience for the future of the Americas Army competition, and I think they will go far.

High FiDelity AAO

HFD used to be one of the best Americas Army clans in Europe, I do not know what has happened to them. It must be their shift in commitments to other games and other Leagues, good things must come to an end I suppose, and this looks like the end for HFD in top flight Americas Army at Teamwarfare.

Alpha Division

Well it is sad to say that Simplus looks like they have already won this division, but its not really surprising with the dedication that they have showed every time they turn up for a match. (Just to add I will be booking an interview with these guys to see how they tick in the next few weeks).

We Ain’t No Clan are the next closes contenders and could take some spoils if Simplus slip up. It is unlikely that the situation will change over the next few weeks, but if it does I will be the first one to inform the community.

Beta Division

Looking at this division we realize that it has turned into a two horse race between two teams Dutch Special Forces, and Shadow .ops. Both of the teams are at the top of the division and have the experience and the expertise to win the division, but who do you think it will be?

The only way we can determine which team will finish winning the division is by analyzing the teams that they will face in the coming weeks of competition. Next week’s match will test the two leaders as they come face to face with each other, who will win?

Overall this match up may determine who wins the division, but if it does not .ops seem to have the easier matches ahead of them, so they could clinch it. I would love to see an .ops vs. Simplus final, but we will wait and see.

The Match of the Week

Dutch Special Forces Vs Shadow Ops

For those who have been following this league from the beginning you will know how much importance lies on this match. I have decided to request an after match interview with both teams, so I can determine in depth how the match was played and also get response to the results which ever way they go.
