Americas Army EU 6v6 Open League Preview

The third EU 6v6 Open League has begun and the league teams give us a glimpse of the future of EU AA. Without any big names present from previous leagues, most of the teams are hungry for a win and definitely out to make a reputation for themselves.

Honor Conference

Airborne Division

-> nOTh!NG jUST sK!LL <- | =]N[=
A long time lasting clan with original members from Germany, had a recent merger with Evolution which definitely improved their roster even though it sometimes looks like Evolution has taken over the clan. After seeing how far Evolution and Nothing had come in the last league it's a big question as to whether they have picked up their game now and will play well together as a team or not.

54th Electronic Division | [54thED]
A group of friends mainly playing Pipe/SF and Hospital who will have to broaden their horizon and pick up their game to have a chance in this league, especially considering their past 6v6 records.

Belgian Private Crew | [BPC]
All-round ok team, has some very decent players and a good chance of taking a fair share of wins and possibly upsets if they prepare well and get a little bit lucky with who they have to play on which map. BPC will definitely have a chance of making the playoffs if they win the matches they have to.

Finnish infinity soldiers | =FIS=
A Finnish team with some decent players on their roster but all in all a mediocre team who will have to practice a lot to get things going their way.

Polish Army Operations | [PAO]
A polish team that looks like they are concentrating on the league only, if they concentrate and practice hard enough they might have a chance at playoffs, but with the competition they're facing in this league I doubt it that these guys will make the playoffs.

-replay. | -replay.
-replay. is a relatively new clan formed from people from 5 different clans all coming together and joining forces here. With a couple of well known and good players on their roster you'd say these guys would roll over any team in this league, but because of them being new, getting to know each other and teamwork might be an issue.

Infantry Division

Dutch Revolution | ^dR
Average clan with some pretty good players who don't play a big enough map variety at the moment to impress. If they work on that and practice hard they will be an opponent to be reckoned with. If they get some good tactics going and get the teamwork to a maximum level these guys can really give out hard kicks to the other teams.

Panthera Carantanum | PC
A strong clan with some impressive rankings on the ladders they compete on. If they can play strong and smart enough they might have some good chances in this league.

--Soldiers Of Destruction-- | $oD.^]
Soldiers of Destruction is a team that hasn't been around for all that long, they might have 1 or 2 guys on their roster which could bring some impressive playing, but I don't expect much of them this league.

Team Exposed | eXposed
A couple of big names in this Polish clan, the big question is if that will be enough and if these guys can get their teamwork together soon enough to start kicking ass in this league. With enough dedicated practice and teamwork this is definitely a playoff team.

The America's Army Dutch [NL] Clan | [NL].exe
After recent reforms this clan has started taking competition a bit more seriously and if they practice hard enough and learn good strats for the league maps this might just pay off and get them in the playoffs.

Wojskowe Sluzby Informacyjne | [WSI]
Another Polish team to enter the open league this year. I believe this league will be a great test for them to see if the long time playing on the 6v6 ladder has paid off, but looking at their record I don't believe these guys will be able to stand their ground against most of the other teams in their division.

Loyalty Conference

Airborne Division

116th Stonewall Brigade | -116th-
The 116th Stonewall Brigade has been around quite some time now and has some pretty decent chances in this league if they practice for it enough and pick up their game to a level that they thus far haven't been able to reach. If they take this league seriously enough they might make the playoffs.

Evolution of Fire | [EoF]
A relatively unknown team with a strong roster including some players from known US clans. Question is if they can get their teamwork together and the ping difference isn't too bad then they'll definitely have some good chances.

Majestic Clan | [Majestic]
A strong Polish team that has been around for a while so teamwork and experience shouldn't be an issue. As long as they practice enough and bring up some good games they definitely have good chances.

Squad02 | S02
A Dutch team that mostly plays for fun. Props to these guys for continually participating in the leagues no matter the outcome of the last league. They are definitely good sports and maybe they'll bring a surprise this league, but I just don't see these guys making the playoffs.

UnderWorld Preachers ²°°² | -=[uP]
A Portuguese multi-gaming clan that hasn't been around for too long, as this is the first league their participating in I think these guys will struggle against the better teams found in the division.

VX Gas - Weapon of mass destruction | [VX]
Another name that's been around for a while. Experience and teamwork shouldn't be an issue, the main question is if their best players will be available for the big matches and how much they prepare, if they do prepare a lot then they can definitely swing some matches their way.

Infantry Division

.error. | .error.
Another Polish clan, pretty known and definitely has good playoff chances if they prepare well enough. With their high ranking on the ladders I believe these guys should be able to beat any team in their divisions easily if they play their strongest lineup and show some good tactics and team play.

62 Kompania Specjalna COMMANDO | [62KSC]
Polish clan, they have some nice ratios on the ladders they participate in, but none of the matches they've played were against teams to really push them to the edge. These guys will meet their first real resistance in this league and they might turn some matches to them.

noobs shooting your ass | =NSYA=
A Belgian clan that hasn't really participated in any real ladder so far. It looks like they are concentrating on the league, but I doubt they'll practice enough to stand a chance against some of the other teams.

Reality Gaming ™ | rG.
Mainly a UK clan who has recently picked up some new decent members. If they would practice and get good strats they definitely have some chances, but inside sources tell me they make up strats and lineups on the spot and this might turn out to be a severe handicap. Nonetheless if these guys can put their individual skills together and make good tactics with some good team play these guys definitely have a good chance at the playoffs.

UK Army Clan | [-uk-]
Another UK clan, they have some decent players but I highly doubt it will be enough to outstand the other teams in this division, but these guys might still have a chance at a decent amount of wins. They'll have to practice really hard to make a chance at the playoffs.

Victory And Glory | ^VaG.][
A Dutch/Belgian clan that's been around for quite some time now. They might have some pretty good chances if they are dedicated enough and prepare enough, how they perform in this league is really all up to them.

EU 6v6 Open League Week 1 Predictions

This week the matches are played on SF-CSAR, a very defense favored map. The teams will have to make sure they won't loose any rounds on defense as that is their best bet to win rounds, because it is way harder to get rounds back on assault. The teams should primarily create a tight defense so they can loose some rounds on assault to get to know the weak spots in the defense of the other team. A lot of Polish teams have entered the open league this season, and the ping problems might prove difficult for some teams in CQB fighting. All in all, this will be a great league, and I wish the best of luck to all teams.

Matches to look out for:

V.S.

nOTh!NG jUST sK!LL vs -replay.

This match is often to be spoken of as the match which will say who will be winner of this division, even though as this is the first match, this is also the match between the two strongest teams in this division. Although -replay. might be a bit overrated I still believe they have the better chance in this match. Both teams have practiced real hard for this match so far, as both of them are thrilled to win their first league match, and we'll see for which team the practice has paid off.
Predicted outcome: Nothing < -replay. 4-8

V.S.

Evolution of Fire vs Majestic Clan

It will be really interesting to see how the EoF guys will do against a team that has played together for a long time and with that has good players and tactics. EoF will have to pull everything out of themselves to make this match theirs, and because this map will mostly be CQB fighting they might get into problems when facing polish pings with some US pings on their side. I believe Majestic has the best shots at this match but will have to practice hard to actually make it theirs.
Predicted outcome: Evolution of Fire < Majestic 5-7

Other Week 1 Predictions

--Soldiers Of Destruction-- vs Panthera Carantanum

Both of the teams have yet to prove themselves as both teams are rather unknown. I believe Panthera will win because of better individual skill and better teamplay. SOD will really have to surprise PC in order to get a win.
Predicted outcome: Soldiers Of Destruction < Panthera Carantanum 4-8

54th Electronic Division vs Finnish infinity soldiers

Finnish infinity soldiers really have the advantage here of taking the league serious and by practicing for it, they have more experience and will take this with a pretty easy win.
Predicted outcome: 54th Electronic Division < Finnish infinity soldiers 3-9

62 Kompania Specjalna COMMANDO vs Reality Gaming ™

62KSC will have a real hard job with stopping rG. of overrunning them. But I think they'll do a fine job and make it real hard for rG. Only if rG really practices enough they'll be able to win this with easy, if they don't then they're going to get a real hard fight against these guys.
Predicted outcome: 62 Kompania Specjalna COMMANDO < Reality Gaming ™ 5-7

Dutch Revolution vs Wojskowe Sluzby Informacyjne

Dutch Revolution really should be able to win this, if they practice enough to get their team play and tactics working on this map then I don't believe they'll have any real problems with WSI.
Predicted outcome: Dutch Revolution > Wojskowe Sluzby Informacyjne 8-4

noobs shooting your ass vs .error.

With the experience of .error. NSYA shouldn't really form any thread for them, if they bring a strong lineup and get some good tactics going they will easily win this match with good numbers.
Predicted outcome: noobs shooting your ass < .error. 2-10

Polish Army Operations vs Belgian Private Crew

Seeing BPC's experience on SF maps and vs strong teams I don't think they'll have a hard time against PAO. PAO will have to put a lot of time and practice in this to make the match theirs, but I don't think they are all that dedicated to win this league.
Predicted outcome: Polish Army Operations < Belgian Private Crew 4-8

Squad02 vs -116th-

I believe 116th's more experienced players will dictate the outcome of this match. Seeing that S02 isn't all that experienced with SF maps, I believe 116th has a fairly big chance of winning.
Predicted outcome: Squad 02 < -116th- Stonewall Brigade 4-8

Team Exposed vs The America's Army Dutch [NL] Clan

This is going to be a tough match for both teams, and both teams have a strong chance of winning. Even though eXposed has some very skilled players on their roster I'm wondering whether their teamwork will be good enough to hold out against a team such as [NL]. If [NL] can get their strats and team play together, and practice a lot they can win this.
Predicted outcome: Team Exposed = The America's Army Dutch [NL] Clan 6-6

UK Army Clan vs Victory And Glory

VAG really has to pick up their game if they want to have a chance at this match, even though they might be stronger, uk definitely shouldn't be underrated. They'll have to make a good effort and better team play then I've seen so far into this to make sure they win this match.
Predicted outcome: UK Army Clan < Victory And Glory 5-7

VX Gas - Weapon of mass destruction vs UnderWorld Preachers

-=[uP] will have a real hard start this season facing VX, and the chances are they won't survive it, VX is a well trained team with some good players on their roster, whether those will be able to put down some nice team play and tactics.. we'll have to see in the match.
Predicted outcome: VX Gas - Weapon of mass destruction > Underworld Preachers 9-3

I'm really looking forward to seeing all the teams in action, and I hope they will all have a fun league, with loads of happy frags. I would also like to thank Orange Devil for helping me out with some of the team descriptions.

Dutch Revolution | ^dR
Average clan with some pretty good players who don't play a big enough map variety at the moment to impress.

I also looked at tracker for the teams to prepare for the writeup, and one thing I noticed at you guys is that you have 8 maps with more then 500 hours and 4 close ones orso, and the rest allmost none. 8 maps out of 28 that is (not counting 2.4 maps), which is imo not much for a clan with as many members as you have and a combined total of 8500+ hours. But I could totally be wrong though, it's nothing against you guys. I just write something about what I see and read, and you should feel free to prove me wrong
EoF will prove you wrong
go crazy swedes w00t.
gj.....nice writing
