The tournament featured more than 64 teams and presented over $2000 in prizes to the top teams. Sponsors for this tournament include ND80, BFG Tech and TWL. Now that the dust has cleared and the Cordite has dissipated, TWL News Staff writer Rumor had a conversation with Dator, the founder of iNfallible, to get all the information on their journey through the tourny.
- TWL: Hello, please introduce yourself!
- Editors note: Those are three kick ass prizes. The sponsors really came through. Let's raise a glass to ND80, BFG Tech and TWL.
TWL: Plus your team's logo displayed on maps in ND80's servers. Sounds like you made out like bandits to me
Dator: Yes, the most important prize of all
TWL: Any shoutouts?
Dator: Yeah, a shoutout to ono, dirty, Aggression, thumper, bobby, IACC, cB
TWL: Thank you for your time, enjoy your prizes.
Dator: Thanks
Dator: My names Bill and I use the name Dator in game. I play for Team Aggression currently.
TWL: Awesome! Wow i sound like a super dork saying "Awesome!"...What team did you play for in the tournament?
Dator: iNfallible
TWL: Could you describe your teammates?
Dator: EP1C was the engineer on the team and he knows how to blow-up stuff and repair things really well. He also can work a gun pretty good. T3K is a medic rambo who i let roam around and pretty much try and take on the other team by himself. MadnesS and Conor were the backup players in case T3K or EP1C couldn't make it and they are both some solid players who had to come in during the playoffs and help win one of the matches.
TWL: How was your road to the finals? Any bumps along the way?
Dator: Yes there were a few bumps. First, one of our toughest matches happened to fall on a map (sos_secret_weapon) that we had barely got a chance to play. When the match started we had to pretty much try to learn some of the dynamics of the map on the fly, we ended up losing it 2-1 rather disappointingly. Another bump was the match vs. the Replicates where EP1C and T3K were both lagging out every 5 minutes and I had to pull conor and madness out of World of Warcraft 5 minutes before the match. Fortunately we were able to win this match and move on in the bracket. The rest of the tournament went much smoother.
TWL: Sounds like fun ^^ and Great job of pulling it out from the losers bracket! Now, Tell me about the Finals
Dator: Well I felt like we had a really good shot of winning both of the finals matches since the maps were more familiar and we had a pretty good strat for both maps.
TWL: Whom did you play?
Dator: Fatal attraction, who is a pretty tough opponent.
TWL: UBER DORK RESPONSE ENGAGE Great! What were the scores in those maps and what maps were they?
Dator: 2-1 on both maps in our favor we played Special delivery was played first followed by Ice
TWL: Tell us about the prizes?
Dator: What are they? A GeForce 6600 GT OC, $100 Best Buy Gift Crtificate, and a Mouse Pad.
Three Men in a Tug was very popular and incredibly exciting for everyone that was involved. Teamwarfare would like to thank the competitors, BFG Tech and, of course, our own ND80 for making this such a success.
The News Staff would like to thank T. Wrecks, =db= and rumor for their collaboration on this article.
