Ghost Recon 2 is shaping up to be one of the most promising new releases for this holiday season. As a follow-up to the hugely successful original Ghost Recon, players will once again control a team of special forces commandos as they defend world interests in many urban and exotic settings.

Following a recent XBox hands-on event in San Francisco, Ubisoft has decided to give fans two additional opportunities to try Ghost Recon 2 well in advance of its retail release date. Here are the details:

On October 30th, 2004 fans in Houston, TX can visit:

The Courtyard Houston Downtown
Conference Room: Houston
916 Dallas Street
Houston, TX 77002
832-366-1600

On November 6th, 2004 fans in New York, NY can visit:

Marriot Courtyard Midtown East
Empire Room
866 Third Avenue
New York, NY 10022
212-644-1300

Fans will also have the opportunity to meet game designer Christian Allen who will be on hand for both Ghost Recon 2 demonstrations.

What do you need to do to get in on this unique opportunity? Absolutely nothing, just show up! Don't miss your chance to play this highly anticipated title and meet other fans in your area.

For those planning on attending, let your fellow gamers know by responding to this thread. If this is anything like the San Francisco event, there are sure to be many TeamWarfare gamers in attendance...

DeerHunter Out !
I would like to know what has changed from the original game as far as gameplay goes. I have heard that they have revamped it and took out alot of the elements that made ghost recon such a success. If this is true please ask why they did this and how they think the market will repsond.

Unrelated but important, Ask UBI if these games will support the mouse and keyboard as there are some new hardware out there that is going to allow us to use these devices on our xboxes.

If anyone gets to talk to that dude, tell him to add in the old TI that GR1 had.

If he disagrees, punch him in the eye.

I am curious about the gameplay. Can you report how it plays and if there are any major changes. How does the peek work and is there any new body control features? Thx - Psy
