Suddenly I can't connect to my own BT server with pure on...

Starting just a few minutes ago our breakthrough server stopped letting people connect with pure on... When I load a pure cfg file it will partly load the map and kick out everybody for being unpure.

I've already reinstalled breakthrough on the server to see if that made any different but it didn't help.

Any ideas?

I've noticed that after I exec my match cfg with pure on some of my players have to leave and come back. Even if they used the shortcut with the "+set cl_playintro 0" line in it. I also have a hard time using ASE to enter my BT pure server which wasn't the case in SH. I am next going to mod my ASE exec line to add the playintro line and see what happens.

that always happens to us...we just restart the game and reconnect and it works...

Thats the thing though... Restarting and reconnecting doesn't seem to fix it. And like I said, it just started this yesterday... Not a single problem before then and nothing has been changed on the server.

no, windows 2000.

I tried to get in last night and it did the same thing... I just reinstalled everything FRESH and it kicked me.

I'm totally stumped... Nobody has any other ideas?

I would start looking clientside.

Make sure you don't have pak3.pk3 in your maintt folder (this is a blood mod that didn't come with the game.)

Also, I'm not exactly sure what that Paratrooper skin unlocker .exe does but it could cause it too.

Its not client side... I've had 15+ people try and no one can get in when pure is active. This includes a few guys from another clan...

Like I said, it worked for several weeks until just yesterday when it stopped working out of the blue.

The Paratrooper skin unlocker .exe makes pak 03 file which is about 1kb you dont need it for the skin to work so check your maintt folder and delete it also make sure none of the pak files on your server got messed up check the size of them to the ones in your game. Make sure you have the intro's line added to your bt.exe shortcut if you are still having a problem re upload the game to the server.

Thanks for all the help guys... I did a total reinstall of AA, SH and BT and it seemed to fix the problem. Strange though that it was a BT only problem but I had to reinstall everything to get it fixed.

Oh well... At least it works now.

Just a general statement here:

Remember guys - the extra skins are not allowed in matches.

ok is pacific theatre going to be another add on or its own game? because it would suck to have to go and re-install mohaa, then mohaas, theeeen BT! i know i would be soooo bummed out after that.

Pacific Assault is whole new game so their wont be any of the expansion nonsense
