Half-Life 2 in April Means More For CoD

It would seem that someone taking code on the unfinished HL2 is somehow causing a delay date til sometime in April 2004. Were as this information is not directly comming from Valve, it dosn't look good. I am still unsure really how someone having a PART of source of the game would cause delays upwards of 5 months. To me, however, it looks like a blessing for CoD, as many people looking for a high quality game with a large community will find a nice home in the WWII fps. Hell, were still 21 days or so away from the actual release and we already have some 50 teams ready for war, they can delay HL2 all they want, just means more for us.
I understood it to say that the reason it will be delayed so long is because they want to totally re-code the stolen parts from scratch.

I agree, better for CoD!

Yes, I agree, this will help the CoD sales.

The drawback of it will be for the gaming community to see what kind of support we are going to get with CoD. This will mean everything to me and many others. Listen to us, patch it and communicate with us and you will have an outstanding lasting community, people won't even want Half-Life 2. Only time will tell.

It will surely increase sales for CoD.
