Call of Duty 2!!!!!

That's right, Call of Duty 2 is more than just a working title. I just got the April issue of PC Gamer, with a world exclusive first preview of Call of Duty 2!!!

You can probably tell I'm excited, Call of Duty: United Offensive is my favorite game to play right now, and Call of Duty 2 looks great.

I've taken pictures of the article with my digital camera. If you have good eye site you can read the words, but mostly you can just see the screens.

Yea Sorry about that, Someone told me that pictures of Doom3 were posted onlne at the rage3d forums, which resulted in a mess. If you post your email, I could still send the pictures though.

Looks great. I just have that itchy feeling it's going to be like an upgraded UO rather then an upgraded CoD. What I wish they'd do is just put in their new engine, update the graphics/textures and physics, and put it in CoD, keeping all of the good maps. If there's tanks, mobile mg's and the sort like UO i'm probably going to hate it. It'll be nice for the first while then it will be on my shelf for a long time.

But don't make it sound like I know what i'm talking about i'm just saying I HOPE it's not like UO was for CoD. New graphics would be awesome, even possibly the ability to shoot through thin walls like CS:S

uh if you read the article in pc gamer u'll see it says they have created their own propietary engine for COD2.. so no more using the q3 engine

I know it's going to be a new engine that will be great. But I just said I hope doesn't turn into a UO type game; With tanks rolling everywhere and the super inaccurate guns ect. That's what drove me away from UO, also I don't like the idea of having BF1942 size maps, it doesn't seem like that's what CoD was made for.

wow looks like united offensive with improved graphics. that will probably kill all of the fast paced action of the first one when it moves toward the battlefield style of gameplay.

Well I hope this is true, it would certainly put an end to all those Q3 hacks.

well it said it in the 7 page article on it... so i assume its true

Don't you know what proprietary means? When they said proprietary engine it just means an engine that was developed inhouse, it isn't licensed like Q3.

cod was made to capture the feel of ww2, not be a dm game like cs. Activation is making it so im sure it will be awsome.

I see nothing wrong with United Offensive. I hope COD 2 plays like UO.

What!! no more Quake engine for COD, thats is the gayest thing
ive heard yet.
This might be the downfall of COD as we know it.
Q3 engine is the best one out there as far as speed goes
I feel changing this is a big mistake the only reason
I purchased COD was because of the engine.
