1.3 Required for all matches as of Sunday March 28th

1.3 patch is now required for all matches starting Sunday, March 28th. This applies to leagues and ladders.

However, if both teams are patched and ready, matches may be played on 1.3 before Sunday.

NOTE: There is a bug with linux servers where the spray of the sighted mp44 will be off-center. I would recommend playing on Windows servers if possible until this is fixed.

Is pam required also?I heard pam has issues with the new patch.

The current version of PAM works just fine with 1.3

So, we are just going to go ahead and use this patch even BEFORE the linux server fix? SOunds good. How long before a ruling on the maps for league/ladder play?

so what can i do if the clan comes to me and doesn't ask me but tells me we are playing on a 1.3 server tonight? and we never agreed to play to a 1.3 server and they never asked us

Matches are to be played 1.2 until Sunday, unless BOTH teams agree to use 1.3.

I believe PAM 1.04b while it works fine should not be used. Remember, IW fixed the sniper jerk being affected by ping from 1.2 and now sniper jerk is less, thats how they intended to play it. I believe new Pam version will leave original 1.3 sniper jerk btw.

Read that thread carefully as both server and clients needs to have a mod on if the server is linux and 1.3.

I have a question regarding this patch: Our server won't be updated until Monday morning, and our squad has a match Friday night and probably another this coming Saturday night. We're scheduled to have a match on Sunday, but there's no way I can prepare my troops with 1.3 in such a short amount of time. Will 1.2 still be a viable option for this match? I guess my concern is that if I had known 1.3 would be required starting Sunday, I never would have agreed to the match, especially knowing that our server wouldn't be updated until the next day.

Then try to reschedule. You wont be forfeited for not being up to date on those days.

Sorry, but I think that those of us that use linux servers are being overlooked in the decision to use this flawed patch.

It's one thing to embrace a patch, but another to disregard those clans that may be adversly affected by it.

It was suggested to use a windows server for the match...how is a clan to prepare for a match without one available to them? Are we talking server raiding? Are any of you that are using a windows server going to allow those that don't full use and control of your servers?

I think the descision to go with this patch regardless of the flaws needs to be revisited!

There is a linux fix availible. If you need to practice your Mp44 aiming down the sight, then apply that to your server.

I'm going to assume that by the silence of the admin that this is not official yet.

When will the decision be made?

I have a challenge awaiting and I would like to take it in good faith that we can use the fix on our servers to fix it.

so long as you let the other team know you have the patch, AND THEY AGREE (i wouldn't understand someone who would not agree) then you are allowed to use it.
