how can IG be easier than regular?

i think they are about even. with instagib u have one weapon so its not a match up of your pea shooter to someone elses rocket launcher. with regular u have weapons like flak cannon and rocket launcher etc that are less accurate of weapons. then again with insta u have one weapon that kills you no matter where it hits i guess that makes it a little easier. also insta's weapon can go long distances so its easier to hit ppl form far away. but u have no shield. and even though some of it is luck a lot of it is still skill. instead of having a spread of 3 rockets u only have one little laser. anyone see my point?
Well in my opinion... it's a ping weapon! Someone with a better ping will really own in IG. But for me, IG and the normal mode are 2 very different play. You cannot compare these two modes. A very good IG player may not be a very good normal DM player... I am the perfect exemple, I have a very good aim thanx to Q3 and RTCW games, the first hit is normally a good one, then I move too much and I start shooting in random hehe...

So in IG, I have a good rating since I always have a nice first hit ratio, then I can just sit back and focus on my next shot or target...

yes, i'm the kind of player that runs around with a LG and frag lol.. That's what I miss from UT1, SNIPER in Melee So I don't think you can compare these two styles of play. Both have there own fans and players.

People that are good with regular weapons dont like IG because it is truely an even playing field. Someone has just as much a chance to kill the other person as the other guy. They dont like that cause they cant stack their sheild up and camp all the good weapons. Now if they say they dont like it cause its boring, than I could understand that.
Ping is sortof an issue, but ive played against a person with a 10 ping and me a 120 ping (which is high for me). After adapting to the difference the match was pretty much even. You learn to lead/etc with the higher ping. But maps that are indoors and are tight, the person with the lower ping does have the advantage. But with the outdoor, more open maps, its shouldnt be an issue.
instagib is a doesn't show off true skills. I know plenty of people that suck at instagib, but are good at deathmatch. Instagib shows off aiming skills.

so what ather skills are there in a FPS?
there are tons of skills you moron besides hitscan aim
here are a few:

1) leading for nonhitscan weapons
2) movement dexterity
3) level awareness/knowledge, spawn control

and more...
biaaatch!
btw: instagib is so freaking stupid...
no one who is actually a "good" player... someone who has the ability to perform my aforemention skills and others would ever spend more than a few idle minutes picking off some losers with gamespeed at 1.5 and five mutators going

YAWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
