So.. got tribes and the vista patch and it runs fine, but now I'm going to the portion where I attempt to connect to a server. Hit ` and typed in connect("[IP:205.218.67.6:28001]"); and tried all the servers listed as active, but I got nothin'.

Anyone that can help me out?

*edit: I did try the tribesmasterservers.com, nothing on that site worked.*

Then you aren't doing it right or something else is wrong.

Reread the http://www.tribesmasterserver.com and copy-paste the first thing it talks about into your tribes console (`). Hit the quit button and re-open tribes. (don't use alt-f4 since you will lose all changes made)

If you can't refresh-all servers and double-click connect on any servers, post back. Specifics on what happens helps.

Yep.. I'm doing exactly as it says. It just tries to query the master servers and then pops up a box saying could not connect to any master server. I'm beginning to think its my apartment building's internet, perhaps shit is blocked. Oh well, can't play until I'm out of here I suppose.
Perhaps you have tribes blocked from accessing the Internet. Got an antivirus or firewall running?
why would u type the <> and the IP part just type
connect("205.218.67.6:28001");
furthermore y directly ip connect at all if u go on irc u can get the new masterserver list from almost anyone and then just enter that in under ur server options and use that as ur new masterserver so u don't have to direct connect at all.
I think jj might be the new cpt.tribes
Oooh. Shit it's Lightside. Whatupp man. Let's get Silverz to play again too.
jjtway -- I've already tried all of what you said.
DeadGuy -- No firewalls or antivirus turned on, or installed, besides the regular windows vista one, which is turned off.
Igloo -- Sup man.. heh, yea if I could play, I would wanna try to get Silverz in it again too.
So you can access the internet but you cant use connect(); on a working server IP, like shithole, connect("70.85.45.20:28001"); ?

then something is blocking your tribes from accessing the internet.
its:

connect("IP:205.218.67.6:28001");

you need the IP part, and you shouldnt have any brackets
Well crooked, you're wrong. All you need is connect("70.85.45.20:28001");

Edit: not that i give a shit

its my birthday bitches, drink up!
It was just the apartment building's connection blocking it, which I could do nothing about.. have my computer at a different location, and I can see all of the servers.
