get it out of your system. you dont actually have to retire, but this will save us a lot of useless reading, and when you do actually retire, just link this thread (like that will ever happen!)

so would not reading the retirement threads if it bothers you so much... it's not like these forums are swamped with posts, is it really that big of a deal? Some of these people have been playing with each other for years, what's the harm in letting them say goodbye? It's much better than just dissapearing, leaving the community wondering where they went.

the sarcasm of this post was missed it appears. at any rate, most of the time the threads are dubiously named, and upon clicking on it, the word "retirement" kinda SCREAMS at you. it always begins with some stupid ass soliloquy* which is intended to sound "profound" but is just horrendiously stupid and gay. it then goes on to reflect on how much an impact either the person had on the game or the game on them (which is in most cases moot), a bunch of "ggs" to a bunch of people, and a promise that they are "moving on". ive seen that automatic "stupid post" crituqe thingy they have.. they must have one for "retirement" threads too.

secondly, this was a very general thread. i "backed my sarcasm" because people missed it. you see, sarcsm is generally subtle. those who get it get it, the rest need a lot of background.
