Tribes 1.20 Lasthope patch released.

Well, a new lasthope patch has been released by Andrew.

A few new changes have come about. Now supporting new models, so no more happy models at all. You can still use T2 models, but you will not be able to use the T2 laser model. If you have a model that you shouldnt have, the server will let you know and kick you.

If you accidently run the crcbypass on this exe, you will not be banned from the server anymore, so those of you who were constantly banned due to the crcbypassing, are now working on a CLEAN slate.

Also, Andrew has finally released server code. For those ren, anni, or other server ops that now how to script, including arena, you can now script in the lasthope code to your server. No help will be given to you by Andrew most likely, but Im sure there are others in the community that can help you.

Also, id you get the model error, its cause you have a different model then the server has of these models.

invent_remote.dts

also remove your cgsparks

Those are it for right now. Other mods other then zadmin may allow any of these models or they may add more to the list that must match the servers. If you have having problems, its cause you have a model that the server doesnt.

FIX IT !

They shouldnt since it was released last night. P.s. All those other servers claiming to be LASTHOPE werent The server code should allow for custom models, etc... If you want to use a custom model on a server and make sure everyone uses it, then just add that model to the servers base folder, and add the model in the lasthope.cs file, and make sure theres a notice where to download the models required for the server

Yea, unfortunately, bad timing, the server was being moved to a new box last night. Had no idea Its up now.

how u make .vol files?

Theres tribes tools, visual vt which I use, winvol to extract. I acctually use a combo of programs which I am accustom to. Will send u winvol/visual VT if you want. Havent tried the disc.dts so dont know if it will kick you or not. You should NEVER be banned for having a different model. Bans are currently happening cause people are using a unpatched 1.2 patch The last hope patch needed a small patch last night.

wah! no luck. still recognizes .dts file inside .vol
these have been with me for yrs. 3> em too much. can't give em up.

Rocket disc work !!! Ive just tested them, they work fine. So its not the rocket disc.

so, i havent played for awhile, and i have my game with all different models. i dont really care that i have to change them to play, but i do have a big favor to ask.

does anyone know where to get the orignal models?
i am getting that "Flag.dts
mine.dts
sniper.dts
invent_remote.dts
radar_small.dts " error. and i cnt play.

can i just remove them and be fine? i dont remember since its have been a long time since i have modded with tribes.

Most likely, u have the original models already. What happens tho, if you have a custom vol or diferent models using the same name, you will get that error. Just remove/rename those models. Also, if your using chainsparks, u need to remove those as well. Your base models tho should be in the entities.vol I believe, could be a different vol in the base folder.

The custom files you have are either in a custome vol in the base folder or in the skins folder.

(1) I'm getting a "The Posr-Client has deleted your Starsiege Tribes directory for excessive cheating violations!" What do I do?

(2) If I have Mortor Sparks, will this effect my ability to connect to a LostHope server?

(3) Can I still use Autoaim.cs?

Well, LH requires zadmin or its been coded for arena. If you are running a different mod, or a base server, upgrade to zadmin or incorporate the source code in the mod. Those are your choices

ok ive had lh on my server for about... um 4 days and ive hurd from peeps theres many diff bypasses..........

so this is worthless just like any anti virus program u make a new vers for hacks comes out the next day, theres peeps that makes hacks so its a losing battle, andrew cant keep up. im bought rdy to say f it lh is trying but its losin. i get whored the same as any other server, so the only diff is, the peeps that dont have the bypass get killed the ones who dont do die..


P.s im all for lh its the game real again but its not working.. to everyone who is trying

Ur prol NOT running it right, damn... I told you to join me on IRC, I may be on tomorrow night on MSN to talk ya through it, but you can run the damn lasthope(tribes(.exe by itself. Its completely worthless................
